  1. One great thing about DG and KA is patience. When we were collectively screaming at the TV screens, they have been patient and it has paid off. Let’s ignore the development of Tage (which is the ultimate show of patience and reward) and look at Dahlin and Cozens. Many on here were at wits end with Dahlin prior to the All Star break last year. Remember all those shorties he was giving up on the PP? We were looking at him as a reclamation project at that point. We were a little bit more patient with Cozens, but many (myself included) were wanting much more last year (including a stint in Rochester). He would have a few games of brilliance, then disappear. Even this year, we were wondering if he still had the ability to hit the back of the net, but our patience has paid off. Krebs is not doing so well, but Donnie’s going to keep him in the games to learn from his many mistakes. Sooner or later, he may respond or maybe not and take the Mitts route. Either way, I don’t see anything as being too unusual right now.
  2. The braces are a give away.
  3. How about each team got what they needed and it’s going to work out for both of them. Is that allowed?
  4. It’s definitely not the time to move on from Krebs. He has at least another 2 years. Mitts was drafted in 2017 and Krebs in 2019. I’m not as worried about Krebs. I agree no one is going to give a 1st for Mitts. I see more of a Nylander trade. A player that needs a change of scenery for a player that also needs a change of scenery.
  5. We only pay attention to analytics when they support what our eyes see.
  6. If they put the Bills game on the Jumbotron, I’m sure a lot would go. Would be fun.
  7. True. That contract is horrible.
  8. He needs a change of scenery. Sign him and assign him to Rochester.
  9. Great goal by that guy. Maybe we should give him a 7 year extension.
  10. I think it means Power had a good game. Sometimes players have great games
  11. Given her psych issues, I feel very bad for her. But what did the Canucks do?
  12. I still don’t think we need to send that many assets out for an oft-injured player. He’s a great player when healthy, but he’s not what we need, which is a right-handed Muel clone.
  13. I didn’t realize he had such an extensive injury history. The most games he has played in his career was 68 and this was his rookie season in 2016. I don’t think I would be giving up much more than a 1st for him. Maybe a 1st in 2024 and an above average prospect, like Rosen or Johnson.
  14. We do so with the hope that there’s a worse front office than ours out there and there probably are. Plus, there’s always losing teams out there who will take young warm bodies.
  15. When they wouldn’t let Jack have his choice surgery, all vets around the league raised an eyebrow. But, when Sheahan wanted out, rumors quickly spread across all vets in the league and filled them with scorn.
  16. Wasn’t he really expendable once we signed Jost? Someone had to go.
  17. This tweet is truly chilling. Wow. This is something very few (if any) experience.
  18. Yeah, we have no one on the pipeline that’s going to help in the next 1-2 seasons. These types of players seem to take longer to develop. So, it comes down to a trade. It’s not like we’re looking for a flashy, offensive defenseman. I think a trade may be out there. There’s anonymous team execs would laughed at the contract we gave Muel. So, there may be some degree of undervaluing such a player. It’s going to come down to a team with excess D prospects and a lack of forwards. And we may even have to overpay, which I why I’d make most on the team available.
  19. What we need is another Muel. I don’t care if we need to trade anyone not named Power, Dahlin, or Tage. We are way too dependent on a single defenseman.
  20. I’m not worried about the Sabres missing the playoffs this year. What I need to see though, is them seriously competing for a spot. I need to see them in the race and not having the season essentially over by February or March.
  21. Lost his love for the game?
  22. I’d definitely take on a boat anchor, just as long as someone of high quality is also coming back, preferably a defenseman. KA is hoarding all this cap space with the assumption that he’s likely going to have to use it to sign all our players over the next few years. However, it doesn’t look like any of them (outside of Dahlin) is going to break the bank.
  23. I don’t like Dahlin on the left side. I feel it neuters his offense.
