Thanks. I’m an Ironworker though so technically I can do anything. She’s been moved to a room in the trauma center. A lot more comfortable and quite. There isn’t any internal injuries or spinal damage, just the damage to the face. The swelling is improving and she’s taking some clear liquids. I brought some undies and pjs in hopes that she’d be able to wear them. They just took the catheter out so I gave her a sponge bath and got her in them. She’s resting a lot better and they’re kicking me out at 8 so I think that I will actually sleep tonight. My lawyer is confident that he’ll mop the floor with the rat bastard that hit her. Long ways to go yet but we’ve taken a step or two. I truly appreciate everyone’s kind words and we’ll wishes.👍

It’s been 22 hrs since the accident and she’s still in ER. Her spine looks ok but there is a ton of damage to her face. She’s going to need plates and screws to put it back together. Her jaw is badly damaged so talking is difficult. All I can do is sit next to her bed and hold her hand. And cry.

She is so busted up that it’s killing me. Her face was literally smashed in. I am a GD mess. I’m exhausted and haven’t eaten anything but a rice krispy treat from vending all day.

My wife was hit head on by a car running through the stop sign at an intersection this morning. This whole thing is God awful. I got to Strong shortly after they got her here. Her face was beyond swollen and she was vomiting so much blood. I thought I was going to lose her. She has multiple facial fractures, broken arm, broken vertebrae. She is stable but the true extent of the damage is unknown. I’m a ***** mess but I’m not leaving here until they chase me out. I want to strangle the mother ***** that ran the stop sign to death.

They were spanked by the Marlies yesterday afternoon at home 4-0. Outshot 39-19. It was a GD embarrassment. Murray had a fight with their biggest on the team. Took one to the face but kept dancing. How this guy isn’t an NHLer in the right peoples’ minds is a mystery.

A few years ago I was fiddling with my tractor in the meadow when I noticed a brown carcass lying there. I walked over to see what killed the little bugger when he suddenly turned his head and looked me right in the eyes. Haven’t been the same since.

I got a spanking at some point and was defiant. “That didn’t hurt!” Then she broke out with the wire handled fly swatter and she quickly regained control of the crowd. I wish I could see her again.

I hate to blame helicopter parenting but GD. Some days it seems like everyone wants me to be their mom. I’m happy to oblige with my image of mom. She gave zero Pucks and kicked *****. Do or do not, or her favorite…. ”Straighten up and fly right!” ”Yes Ma’am.”

I’ve been mentoring for decades, instructor for a dozen years. I moved into the new role because I’ve been so passionate about mentoring. That’s sort of why this one stung so much. Spent a lot of energy on this young man.

I had to terminate an apprentice today. I really like the kid. I’ve broken my back to help him but his list of transgressions has gotten out of hand and for the good of the collective I had to do it. I strongly suspect a drug use issue and have sent him for random testing but it’s so easy to tuck a bottle of synthetic under your grundle and pass with flying colors. It’s sad because if he’d popped hot I could have kept him and provided him with help. This way it just appears that he isn’t capable and doesn’t want to. From the tears in his eyes I could tell that he really wants this. I even asked him about drugs. I told him I could help but he denied. Very sad part of the job.

The Amerks are giving the season ticket holders AHLTV home/away games next season. There will also be a lot of games on CW next season too. Lots going on a BCA.

I also buried the first Veteran’s Day poppy that I ever hung in there deeply behind the rear seat where no one would find it.

The new truck was delivered today. Far too nice for a dumb Ogre like me. The heated seats are nice. The extra space is ridiculous. Very excited about the app that lets me start it, lock doors, check the tires/gas from anywhere. A lifetime of head down/mouth shut/work hard/be smart coupled with broken bones/torn ligaments/fused body parts worked out for one in thousand who try. I’m a lucky man. It broke my heart to watch the coyote go. I took it for a nice car wash with all the fixings’ before they came for the swap out. It was a good damn truck.

I’m moving from a 2012 4wd F150 XLT extended cab into a 2019 4wd F150 XLT crew cab. I’ve decided that I need the extra cab space and wasn’t going to budge on the XLT package. A must have for me. The biggest change for me(and I had to drive one to believe it) is going to be the switch from the 5.0 Coyote to the 2.7L V6 twin turbo. I actually use a truck like it was intended and was skeptical that the little V6 could perform but it is actually comparable to the 5.0. Plenty of muscle to do what I need. I’m not so sure about longevity though. That 5.0 Coyote is one bad ass motor. Absolutely bullet proof.

I bought a new truck today. I’d have gone to the awesome thread. I have every reason to. Great deal on an awesome truck. Great value for my trade-in. I just really love my old truck. I’ve driven it for seven years. Tons of family trips. Tons of good memories. Sadly it had 150,000+ miles and with my new position I travel a lot and don’t have any free time to tinker. I swapped out the heater coolant line and upper radiator hose on Saturday not because I thought I’d get better value but because that old truck earned it! I hope the next owner treats it as well.

The halftime show was ok but not great only because I don’t like Dre or Snoop. I was an NWA fan but only because of Easy. He called them both studio gangsters and was right on the money. Easy was the only gang member in the group and would have been bigger than either of them of not for the HIV.
