  1. Whoever decided this is how we introduce the team to start the year needs to be fired.
  2. That’s a great accomplishment, but there’s probably a half dozen retired goalies not in the Hall that were better than him and another 3-4 sure things getting to the end of their careers who are all preferred over him. He was a definitive #1, who for periods of weeks/months at a time was the best goalie in the league. If the Olympics don’t happen in 2010 there’s a good chance he doesn’t have any major awards to go along with zero cups.
  3. I just don’t see Ryan Miller as a Hall of Famer. Put him in the USA Hockey HoF and call it a day.
  4. Without security theatre, the theatre would die out.
  5. It’s a combination of choice 3 & 4. It’s an incredibly important time for a not-insignificant portion of players. For others it’s just a time to grease the wheels.
  6. No NHL regular season game is played at 85% effort by both teams until at least the new year.
  7. You’ve said for months they have a long term deal agreed to with Dahlin and have refused to come off of that. Is this you saying they don’t?
  8. In 2011 I bought a new Jetta for just under $19,000. In 2021 I bought a new Tucson for just under $23,000. Both have treated me well.
  9. NO. Stop retiring numbers of players who haven’t won anything. Gil and Dom are one thing, but our rafters are embarrassing.
  10. This has to be the most boring start to a season of all the Allen years right?
  11. On Sunday I found Deandre Hopkins AmEx while walking my baby. My fiancé contacted his reps and they were supposed to pick it back up earlier this week. They’ve seemingly blown me off.
  12. Nlay Rockey
  13. Kane will bring in more dollars in merch sales than his salary. For that reason alone it’s foolish to think we aren’t angling for him.
  14. What what are their tRPM?
  15. RIP ETID
  16. Keep posting them!
  17. Swap Savoie for Brown and you’re spot on.
  18. There’s 11 names I don’t recognize. One internet point for anyone who guesses them all.
  19. Well it looks better than some of the other ones so there’s that!
  20. A veteran of what? Clearly not the 20 year playoff drought.
  21. I try to have both depending on what the deals are, but all things considered I would prefer NYT now because I’ve gotten hooked on crosswords. I find myself disagreeing with Op/Eds from both papers with more frequency than ten years ago, but to me they are both very professional services.
  22. But you’ve been saying you know something for months now. Doesn’t the above contradict your previous points? Or are you one of the few that actually does know? I guess I’m just confused at this point.
  23. I read the WSJ and NYT daily. With the exception of the Editorials and Opinion sections, their reporting has, on any given day, 80% overlap both in content of articles and areas of reporting. Multiple times a week I’m also incorrect about which paper I’m reading because of my ideas of what NYT and WSJ provide. Maybe stay away from the hot takes and interpret the news yourself?
