Zadorov may not be a top two, but he will be a top four for along time. He needs coaching and I suspect a tighter leash, but he will have an NHL career. I think Grigs is a going to need to find a better situation. The Avs have too many talented forwards. I am in the camp that a rebuild wasn't going to happen overnight and we as fans would need to be patient as a new core found its,legs. Every other team improved through the offseason as well and I don't see ROR as the overhaul many do. We will be young and make young mistakes. I would like to see us get better while still filling our pipeline and creating the optimum development program in Rochester. We offered serious dough to some FAs who turned us down some are not yet the destination we want to be.

Lets put this into perspective. Oduya, who most here believe is a.cornerstone top 4 had 2 goals and 8 assists and a +5 during the 2015 season excluding playoffs. Is that such a high bar for Pysik, McCabe or a yet tbd asset buried on another team? I trust GMTM to be able to find that wo mortgaging the farm.

He doesn't log much PP time, they use a forward to replace him. The hawks usually rotate Keith, Seabrooke and Hjarmarlsonn (sic) to kill penalties. As I said and you concur ratchet down the expectations.

No doubt a valiant effort. But there were trade rumors during the season because he got into Q's doghouse for disappearing ala Bickell for stretches. I would welcome him to shore up our D but I think the expectations need to be ratcheted down a notch and I wouldn't risk future cap problems. He was largely a product of the system.

He takes dumb penalties, disappears for stretches of the season and makes atrocious decisions with the puck when he is gassed at the end of a shift. I get that he is better than Weber, but he is not much better than McCabe and on par with Pysik.

Evan Rodriguez was an anchor. Jack and Baptiste were waiting on him all night. I liked Olofson skills. McCabe looks NHL ready, Carrier is smooth and Fasching is a much better skater than last year. Florentino has a legit shot to play in the National. Bailey needs seasoning but looked legit. And Samson will be fine. What a heady player.

So some other things to look for: Can Samson shut Jack down? Who scores first Baptiste or Bailey? How far away is Carrier? Does McCabe bring the lumber? Kasdorf v Peterson? Sabretooth in shorts and sandals? Others?
