  1. I seldom drink beer, but when I do I prefer Dos Equiis
  2. Apparently
  3. The Hawks signed Artemi Panarin who led his team in scoring in ghe KHL which included Kolvachuk. The Hawks are going to be fine. Tru Dat
  4. I disagree
  5. If TM was to tender an RFA I hope it is Saad. I would give up Matthews for Saad.
  6. Put a fork in the Ducks they're cooked.
  7. Andersen has twitchy heels. He doesn't seem to have any confidence. I also can't wait for Sabres playoff hockey. There is nothing like it. The Great One in the house. Nice.
  8. Plus he kills penalties, plays shutdown center and is an all round decent guy.
  9. Rather have Toews
  10. Who's not? I hope this is epic
  11. Tru dat
  12. A distinct lack of Yancy's fancies and its genre in the sponsorship of the national broadcast. The NHL is learning. Clever girl.
  13. Over thinking it on both side. When that stops, there are some good players on both benches.
  14. First time caller, semi recent listener, and I think outsourcing is the way to go.
  15. Then what? You complete me
  16. The NHL rules regarding tender offers to RFAs require that you have your own pick as comp to the team the RFA is under contract to. It doesn't matter if you have someone else's 3rd, you must have your own if the tender comp calls for a.pick in that round. I think they may be haggling over whether the Sabres must give them their 3rd.
  17. I agree with this approach unconditionally. I would like to see them move up to grab the most offensively explosive prospect they can, even if that player has warts in other areas (they all do ya know). Patrick Kane learned defensive accountability (to a degree) but his scoring touch is God given. I would prefer a natural winger, but pure goal scorer. Otherwise I like Bittner and Boeser. I think Bittner has a bit of the Getzlaf/Kessler nastiness to him. If we stand pat I think there will be good d prospects at 31 and later. I do not want to reach for a goalie before the Third round. JMHO.
  18. Was he on GR or is this from an article?
  19. Agreed this would be TM's Rubicon moment. I have to believe somewhere during the interview process, TM laid out his vision of what it would take to win consistently in the NHL at the highest level. I did not get the impression that the lengthy interview process that included some other better known quantities was designed to find a specialist, i.e. a good teardown person, a good drafter, a trade specialist etc. Rather, I believe that TM sold himself as the guy with the plan and the ability to execute all phases from identifying, obtaining and developing talent to managing the financial structure of the on ice talent including hiring administrative staff like coaches and scouts. If TM thinks this is the guy to execute the plan laid out, the one TP bought into, then I support the decision. If it is Bylsma or Deboer, I trust that too. I think that SSers are getting swept up in the euphoria of the war being over, and not realizing the Marshall Plan is just getting under way.
