  1. Continually tossed thinly-veiled assertions that Pegula knew about and/or ignored/helped cover up child molestation. He wouldn't stop despite numerous warnings and suspensions.
  2. I think the entire promise of the article is inaccurate. I don't think many fans are walking around still saying "I'm just glad the teams are here"...that sentiment is long gone, IMO.
  3. I just don't see the point--he's just going to do again what got him banned in the first place. He just can't help himself.
  4. Well, it's almost 5 and I just about have my voice fully back. Yelling at Leafs fans is hard work. Best part of the night was when Flagg and I were chanting "Eichel's better" two little kids behind us, decked out head to toe in Leafs gear, joined in.
  5. Train pulled away literally as I was buying my ticket. Now I'm freezing to death. Go me.
  6. Makes sense. Certainly wouldn't want Deslauriers to have to sit in the box or anything.
  7. I was simply saying the manufacturing cost of the controller was why Nintendo had to sell the Wii U at a loss, not that the controller caused the platform to flop.
  8. This weather is freaking terrible.
  9. Giant (and terrific) article on aging in the NHL: https://hockey-graphs.com/2017/03/23/a-new-look-at-aging-curves-for-nhl-skaters-part-1/ TLDR: More evidence offense starts to go down in players' late-20s. Interesting support for the notion that defensive play does not follow a similar trend--it stays mostly consistent for a player's career, until ~36. Warning: You probably don't want to read this while remembering Okposo is turning 29 next month and has 6 years remaining on his contract.
  10. More injury-occurrence bias. That slash probably doesn't reach the top-30 dirty things Crosby has done in his career. Hell, he probably has a dozen slewfoots alone.
  11. Was Guentzel hurt on the Manning hit? If not, you have your answer. NHL punishes result as much if not more than action.
  12. I'd have been fine with a game. Accepted two very grudgingly. But three? Another fine example of the NHL caring only about outcome (injury), not action.
  13. I'm not going to be in the Buffalo media market next season, and if they bring Bylsma back, I'm not paying for Gamecenter. I may even gift the forum with a Liger-like meltdown. I won't believe it until Hockeyyinsiderr has it.
  14. If we can parlay a very good winger (whom some other team intelligently pegs as a great center) into a top pair defenseman, we should do it.
  15. If Kane can't return the Dman we need, and Reinhart is only ever going to be a winger here, then Reinhart should be traded for a defenseman.
  16. In fact, one could argue that that's literally the only thing Bogosian does well.
  17. And one could argue with a better coach, the Bills would have won one of those Super Bowls. Besides, I'm not firing Bylsma for his win-loss record, I'm firing him because his approach is not going to win in the playoffs. even strength teams lose, and lose often, at the highest level of competitors. His system directly leads to, at best, worse even strength results than the roster should produce. Will roster improvements and a killer PP get us to the postseason? Probably. Then we can lose like every other similarly constructed team before us. Fun! For West Wing fans, Bylsma is the Bob Russell of coaches. Rose to prominence through an accident of history, fooling a lot of people along the way. But a turd is a turd, and eventually everyone comes to smell it.
  18. Lovely, let's flush an entire season down the drain. Better defensemen will help. Experience will help. But nothing roster-wise is fixing Bylsma's fundamental flaws, which are identifiable without a perfect roster.
  19. Didn't Murray also say he had reached out to Bylsma and they had contact before the Babcock decision even happened?
  20. IMO you should print it out, attach it to a drone, and fly it into the GM box at the game Saturday. No, I don't know how you're getting a drone into the arena.
  21. There's a huge amount of wiggle room in what McKenzie said. What is catastrophic? I mean, they're 10-15 since February started, and have 3 wins in their last 10. If the players (the important ones) speak against him and they finish the stretch playing under .500 hockey...does that qualify? McKenzie also said "want"...I mean, of course Pegula wouldn't *want* to pay a second coach not to coach for 3 more years, but that doesn't say he wouldn't if Murray came to him with the recommendation.
  22. 1) This sounds like speculation more than reporting information. 2) The end of season player interviews will save us.
  23. Joking aside, this is an astute observation. Risto's extra ~3-4 minutes per game is likely against non-star players, thus lowering his star% relative to other top pair Dmen.
  24. Anchor Bar has never been the best. Shame on you for recommending it to our dear MODO. I still vote for Duff's, but Gabriel's Gate and Bar Bill also have their adherents.
