  1. I hadn't even thought about that! Even better!
  2. It's early, but I probably won't be seeing anything today better than this.
  3. I am actively cheering for Bane to be real. Please, just let the field collapse and swallow everybody.
  4. I pretty much agree with this. And I commend you on not mentioning his helmet adjustments :p I think Reinhart is a good player (having a bad season) who helps make other good players better, but I don't think he's ever going to be an impact player that makes average players good. I had hopes he would get there, but that hope has faded. When paired with the likes of Girgensons/Larsson/Rodrigues on the 3rd line, he looks average. But I think he routinely adds value playing with O'Reilly, Eichel, and Kane. He's not the straw that stirs the drink, but he can help an already stirred drink mix better.
  5. Accuracy matters, but it's really not measured super well by completion percentage. So much is contextual based upon the offense and what types of throws QBs are asked to make. And I still go back to the notion that nobody has a damn clue how to evaluate QBs. Deshaun Watston doesn't have an NFL arm. Russell Wilson too short. Kyle Boller can throw from his knees though! Once upon a time the scouting community was split on Peyton Manning and Ryan Leaf. When it comes to projecting college QBs to the NFL, everyone is an idiot. Yea, sorry, see my edit. I was insulting the article, not you :)
  6. I was 50/50, but Carp's logos and Swamp's movie clip sold me.
  7. There's a difference between heading to Pittsburgh and Philly versus a west coast swing. It's definitely normal to have an extra body out west. As for sitting in the press box...that's on Housley, not Botterill.
  8. If a student did this level of research for a paper, I'd probably fail them. Edit: To be clear, I was taking a dig at the research contained in the article, not you.
  9. Would Mittelstadt playing in the AHL playoffs burn a year of his ELC? Or is that only if he gets NHL time?
  10. The sarcasm is strong with this one. Memory? Not so much. :p
  11. I mean, Edmonton did get to the second round last year. They're a mess this season, but there are some pretty obvious explanations for that other than nebulous concepts.
  12. It's pretty common to bring an extra body on a west coast trip, no? Nothing to see here, IMO.
  13. Indeed. Aside from needing to pull for a Philly team, I'd be legitimately optimistic about the Eagles' chances with Wentz playing. But Foles? I have no hope.
  14. Congrats to Tom Brady on another Super Bowl. The Vikings were our only hope.
  15. Doug Marrone clock management alert.... :wallbash:
  16. I dunno about the pass...they may punt on 3rd down.
  17. Oh, for sure. I'd cheer for Satan over Marrone. But the Pats? Gotta go with Saint Doug there.
  18. I'm vindictive: I cheered when Gronk got knocked out. Karma for the Tre White hit.
  19. I just think if there's a big talent influx, any other issues that may or may not exist will take care of themselves.
  20. No. Even though I know it's coming.
  21. That's kind of my point (which I did not articulate well). He showed improvement even though the team was worse. In fact, his completion percentage has gotten better each year. Separately: Blake Bortles is still terrible.
  22. FUCALE!!!!!!!!!! :D Wouldn't be surprised. After all, "hot take" and "wrong" are basically synonyms.
  23. Louisville was a complete and utter tire fire this year. The only reason they were even remotely competitive on a weekly basis was Jackson. I think taking a QB in the middle rounds is a complete waste of a draft pick. QBs taken after round 2 almost never amount to anything, while teams regularly get useful (or better) position players with those picks.
  24. That should be your in-season game plan. Whatever happens during the offseason is going to be way more interesting than what happens 2-3 nights per week the rest of the way.
