I've never been happier that I "acquire" TBN content I want to read rather than pay for it.

Friedman said he doesn't think Harrington is a sexist because he's been nice to him and seen him be nice to others. What percentage of hockey beat writers are men? And the very notion that being nice in one context precludes being a douche in another is hilarious. I've had plenty of people I've known who are great to their friends/family/colleagues while simultaneously holding extremely discriminatory viewpoints.

Bucky and Harrington, for starters. I'm not going back through the threads, but there's been some....questionable....stuff here, as well. Men who go into these positions don't face gendered language stereotypes. Former players with zero executive experience get hired for these things all the time. Did anyone tell Joe Sakic to go life another dumb bell upon hiring? Did anyone say Ron Francis should stick to beer league? Nope.

Unless it was someone who has previously worked in hockey, the substance of the conversation would exist. But the language used would be dramatically different.

Also, "way to go" Elliotte Friedman. "He's nice to me (see: a man) so I don't think he's sexist" is literally among the worst arguments that can be made on the subject. Way to take a stand, Elliotte :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I do think Reinhart and Risto can flourish in secondary roles. Just weren't good enough to be the foundation.

Not-so-hot take incoming: Eichel, Mittelstadt, and Dahlin are going be the championship centerpieces that Eichel, Reinart, and Risto were supposed to be.

Have you seen his hairline recently? I'd need a hug too.

Well, it would appear that Mr. Smell's reading of Brandon's personal character was accurate. Good riddance.

Before the draft there are 100% going to be trade and/or trade down suggestions, if not something like "trade that quitting turd ROR for a Dman and draft Svechnikov." Bank on it.

Teams making bad trades helped Vegas a heck of a lot more than the expansion draft itself. Other GMs made unforced errors in evaluating their own rosters and gifted Vegas players like Marchessault, Karlsson, and Smith.
