This is probably pretty accurate. If you are under 50 you really would not remember much of that first cup final and that punk Parent and the other punks on that dastardly Flyer team. So, your hatred as a kid, could it have been 'learned' from an older brother, father, uncle or someone?

These are fantastic. Thanks. You are so right that it has not been worth your trouble doing the beloved charts in 5+ years. Right now it looks like we need to watch what happens with the Rangers and Carolina. As of now 5 of the 8 playoff teams in the East are in the Atlantic. Awesome. It's going to be a long day. 4 hours into a GDT and we have 8 replies. I bet people are real busy running around as if the world is coming to an end, but it's just Christmas time. Our early morning junket to the farmers market was a success. We got there about 15 minutes before they opened the doors (8 AM) and the parking lot was nearly empty. We thought that they may have postponed / delayed due to the wind and rain. Nope. Went for a nice breakfast afterwards and home by 10. The last part is a bit off topic, but I started the thread. Anyway, as always ... MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!!

I hope we make it out alive, so we can go out for a nice breakfast afterwards. We lost a close one to the defending cup champs. In there building. At any point in the last 5+ years anyone of us would have planned a party in the plaza and a parade if this happened. We can at least watch the games and enjoy them win, or not (mostly anyway). Hey somebody edited my thread start to add the TV info. Must be a mod, so thank you for taking the time in your busy day. I know you guys and gal have day jobs.

No offense, but gossip is a terrible thing and does much harm. I do my best not to participate in any of it. It's not easy, but I just keep in mind that my religion forbids it. So, in all honesty, I do not need, nor want, to know. The possibility of future issues concerning the team is another matter. So, I hope that this does not come back to bite the Sabres in some way and I am interested to see how they move on from this, but really my top concern is for him and his family. The Sabres will be fine.

I believe that the Sabres are helping him. If in no other way, which I don't think / hope this is all they are doing, than by releasing him from his obligations under an employment contract to take care of things, whatever they may be. There still is too much speculation going on. Again, it really does not matter what 'it' is and it is none of our business. Sabre players.

Isn't RJ on the radio? Turn down the TV volume and pump up the radio / satellite volumn.

Bottom line is ... something is going on. It really doesn't matter what. He needs support and it certainly seems like he is getting it from former teamates and hopefully from current ones. I hope that the Blues and Sabres are doing whatever they can too.

An Ikea opened up in Halifax very recently. I'll see what I can do. I'm not a fan Ikea mind you, so that could be a problem. Halifax was the location of the first Ikea in North America, in 1975. It closed down and they have been MIA for 20+ years until about a year, or so, ago.
