They have won some times when I start these things. I swear it. Look it up I am in a bit of a slump just like the team. I will let others try their luck, but I don't think it will matter. The Sabres are what they are. The score was 2 -1 last night and then an empty netter. The team seemed not to play too badly, but they needed to play lights out and they ran into a very motivated goalie, much like ROR against the Blues. What's up with Eich? Onward ... OK? EHLERS!! ? And I don't think anyone is panicing, especially JBOT. I think he is right where he wants to be and has the team where he wants it, maybe even ahead of where he thought they would be at this point.

A quick check of the score sheet last night and it was not secondary scoring that failed them it was the first line and first pairing D.

No you're right. There is very little middle ground in sports. Either your team is very good, or very bad. Same for the fans. We all love when our teams are winning, but ready to hate them when they are bad. The Sabres are doing better than anyone figured. The 10 game win streak spoiled us as fans and we dared to dream. The truth is that the Sabres are vastly improved, but still not dreamy. A win against the Islanders tomorrow will be difficult. The wins will be harder to come by now. That means they will be all the sweeter too.

Yuck. I hate when the Sabres lose, especially to these guys. The point for the tie could be important down the road, but not as much as if they would have earned it.

I am in the minority here, but I agree with you. At crunch time give me a veteran every single time. Pilut has a very good chance to end up better, but he isn't yet.
