I appreciate you and others that start topics for discussion. This is a good topic, but the question is 'is the Nashville system worth waiting for'. I said it is, but not at the expense of seasons until we eventually / hopefully get there. The Sabres do not have all the players required to play a system like Nashville's. It is a process to get there, so they need to play to their strengths now. That may be a combination of a few things and it will be adjusted as players change. Elements of what the Nashville D do, but not completely. I think / hope that this offseason will go a long way in advancing the team and players to the next level of implementation of the system that the Sabres want.

I don't think they are the worst team in the league. I will say that they are the most inconsistent (until recently when they have consistently stunk) and the worst at trying to establish their true identity. The standings show that they are not the worst team, but they may be (I'm not checking and doing the math) if they had gone 5-5 instead of 10-0 back when.

I think it is worth waiting for. The Sabres are nowhere near it yet, so in the meantime I completely agree with @bunomatic (bunsie), that the coaches should be trying their best to win with the roster they have, while we all wait for the roster they and we (?) want.

Even in the darkest hours of that thing that shall be nameless never did I hope for a loss. Every single game is a must win. That said, I do understand and appreciate your take on this.

I know, and it has done just that for me. For the first time that I remember our main Mosque here in Halifax has opened Friday Prayers to the public in an invitation for anyone and everyone to join us in Prayer. I have decided not to attend Friday Prayers today. I am afraid that something like what happened in NZ will happen at our Mosque. The bastards have won. I have allowed hatred to win. I am ashamed of that.

I agree completely. Myself and others, who have been even more vocal about it, have said that good veteran leadership was lacking to mentor Jack, Samson and others. Gionta was good and Gorges was OK, but they were not enough. I think Jack will get there, but he has a ways to go yet. And still, the team looks lost without him.
