He is still being paid by PSE, until he lands another job. I don't think this is a good idea. I understand it, though.

I think Skinner's body language said more about his frustration with how this once very promising season ended than anything else. He is very competitive and he probably thought ... I would have traded 10 of these 40 to be playing this coming week. I think that soon there will be a signing presser.

It's good to see you around here a bit again. I truly believe that JBOT takes a lot of the responsibility (no offense, but I don't like the word blame here, as some of the trades and player development, as you mentioned, not working out as hoped is no one's fault really) for the way the season ended. For this reason alone I do not think that Housley will be fired. Nor do I think that he should be.

You know that I am travelling to the tropical island of Newfoundland, where I will be 1/2 hour ahead of NS time. Maybe that has something to do with it.

Not that this is important when looking at what makes a person what they are, but I don't think the lovely, in every way, Ms Anderson was ever a B. Even before the enhancements you described.

I didn't grow up in Buffalo, but have family there, so it really felt like I did, at least in part. I learned that the people of Buffalo have a love of life. They work hard and play hard. They do not give up easily when things are difficult. Above all else, most are more than willing to lend a hand to friends, family and above all strangers. Is this what you are after?

My apologies if it has been mentioned earlier. I have not had much time to read a lot of the posts lately. Anyway, tomorrow night will be very emotional when the great Bob Cole is doing the play by play for the final time in his illustrious HNIC career of 50 year. I grew up listening to all his wonderful Bobisms. When I was a kid HNIC on Saturday night was the only time hockey was on TV. Every Saturday was epic. I will miss him, even though I have not watched in many years.

That 'new' Nova Scotia guy signed up 2 years before I did, almost to the day. I understand you and everybody else are frustrated with the way this season turned out and the 7 before it. Even the NS guys going to their first game and having an absolute fantastic time of a lifetime (so far, anyway) are frustrated. Why can't we just bask in this one shinning moment in yet another bleak season, eh?

It won't help that much. Have you looked at the map, eh? Most of the roads are not fit for travelling fast, or otherwise.

You are being very nice to that other NS guy, but you were not always so nice to me ... ?? ... sure, you are very nice to me now ... ? Why are you reverting to 'wet blanket' status with your second point? This is a fantastic plan, but I will pick the route. And I plan to fly. It is a 2 day journey by car. Although, my friend from NS may have done it non-stop, as many NSers do, in 24 hours.

Since it's almost noon in NS and it's Friday I will put this fantastic news, which is also awesome, right here. It's been 6 months since my last birthday, October 5th, you may recall that I smoked my last smoke that day. I am hopeful this will continue, as I don't even miss it at this high work stress time. Also, Ramadan starts in 30 days, maybe 29, depending on the new moon sighting. My favourite month. Maybe later I will have something to add to this, or the Friday thread, or maybe another thread.

I grew up in The Great Satan and had family in Buffalo. Spent a lot of time loving hockey, but not the Leaves. Always loved the Sabres from Day 1. Not a very exciting story, but thanks for asking.
