They play hard and never give up. That's a big deal. Also, the goaltending seems a lot more legit than in recent past. If that stands up the Sabres will be fine. They will contend for a playoff spot all season and in the end I think they make it.

I actually think he is going to better than many of us thought. Myself included. I was thinking Potvin, which would be great, but now I am think Lidstrom as the bottom and who knows at the top end ... dare I say ... Orr(ish).

MUST WIN!! GO SABRES!! The Sabres seem to be slightly ahead of the Red Wings on the maturation of the kids trail so this should be a good game and a good test. The Sabres need to beat the teams at and slightly below their level. They will.

I agree with everyone that has said when they start winning and then winning in the playoff they will come. The Sabres really need to make the game day experience at the Aud (or whatever it's called) much better.

Also of note ... every single NHL game is streamed on SN in Canada. This one is a Premium game and one needs to subscribe to SN NOW+ for it, but it is legal in Canada and I am sure it's widely available on *Pirate Satellite* in Buffalo, NY and maybe all over the world wide interwebs.

Welcome. If you are in Canada ... CBC online will stream all HNIC games, which may be available to you in the US too. In Canada SN (SportsNet) is the way to go for just about any hockey game played. Other stuff too. I love *Pirate Satellite* 😎

I did not see one minute of the game nor did I watch the highlights. This is based just in the score sheet. It appears that the Sabres played well enough to win and lost on a late goal. That's fine, IMO. I don't like it when they lose, but these things happen in the NHL. Seven games in and they have won more than lost. They have played only one dud. The Sabres will be fine if they keep up the effort.
