The Russian hockey player seems to be disappearing from the league. About 10 years ago their were about 60 in the NHL.....the league is probably down to less than 20 regular Russian players today.

Scoring multiple goals isn't a weakness....it is usually indicative that a player recognizes a match-up problem and makes the other team pay.

Julien is probably one of the most conservative coaches in the league. Positional stay at home hockey most of the time. Trap with a lead. Contrary to what most people perceive as Bruin's hockey, they really don't leave position to hit or block much.

Interesting, but what they do is take the skating velocity out. Miller pulled up and didn't have any speed. Lucic had a barrel full. Miller was protecting himself.

If your goalie gets hit - even if you are Strawberry Shortcake - it should be understood that that is your cue to play outside yourself. It should never have to be said. Players know it intuitively. Sekera was in quickly, but he didn't go outside himself. It was a fault. It doesn't matter if you win, you have to show up.

That is so Boston. A little message to the GMs today from the Boston writers, no doubt.

He remained in the game for a period of time so this would be impossible for the referee to ascertain when the penalty assessment was made.) The end result of the body check was a concussion to the Sabres goalkeeper; arguably their best and most important player on the team." Sounds like Shanny was IRRESPONSIBLE.

But it is irresponsible to say that....because just like Lucic you might get a telephone call where you have to say you didn't mean it. Lindy totally ignored that consequence.
