And Hodgson was crowded out of the NHL in the most loaded line-up in the league - Vancouver. I'm still dizzy with this acquisition. I really think it is the best trade I've seen in Buffalo for years.

It'll be interesting to see what Columbus does. If they have the first pick, I'm not sure they want to take Yakupov. Which means they may be willing to deal for picks, players and prospects. Essentially they will have two big pieces they can move.....Nash and Yakupov. They can really reshape their roster. Buffalo should be in that discussion with 4 top 60 picks. I don't think they move Foligno.

Those used to constitute up to half of WNY's total caloric intake.

You aren't thinking Paetsh, are you? editsa: Rob beat me too it.

I'm not sold on the Rangers D in a tight series. Is Dan Girardi and Del Zotto their best D men? It is all a matter how far Lundquist can carry them in my mind.

Early days for Tropp. But I see him a lot like Dan Paille, but with more of a physical edge. Which means he can float up and down lines and gives you a lot of flexibility when filling lines through injuries. Nice asset to have.

I'm in no hurry to get rid of Roy. It has taken him almost a year to recover his skating form. Now the Sabres have 3 balanced lines that are all scoring threats and defensively responsible. Take away Roy and you have two lines.

Clearly he's a boob.

God bless all.

The league needs to get this one right. A pre-meditated hit to injure. Keith should be done for the year.

I love hugging trees with lesbians. It feels so nurturing. It is a nice way to relax after reading the National Review.

A good hockey chirp is an art-form.

I don't recall that ...but it sounds like one of Paul Weiland's pranks.

I would use the word "explosive" for Mogilny. I remember his first shift. Housley was probably 160 pounds when he came in the league at 18. You looked at him and said...how is this going to work? He really was a dazzling skater. Amazing on the PP point. --- and the blue line was 4ft closer. to net. so he had less room to work with. How he could move laterally with the puck on his stick to create shooting lanes was just amazing. Mogilny could blow past you with two strides from a standing start, but tiny Housley was a dancer.
-
Not speed - skating. Defensemen are often the best skaters - they gowsa backwards.
-
Arguably, Housley was the most skilled skater ever wear Blue and Gold.
-
Except for the handedness...I see a lot of Housely in Karlsson's game. Skating, shot, physically rather weak, great vision. Housley is was perhaps better suited to today's D zone game than the one in the 80's which allowed lots of clutching in the D zone under the circles. Housley of course was always frustratingly small in his own zone. He would play more PK than Karlsson at the same age, but Housley would often chase the point....rather than playing the back end. But in the same way I can't think of Karlsson as a shut-down guy.
-
I see Karlsson much like I see a Phil Housley. He'll put up points in his career (a lot I suspect). But when games get tighter.....can you really call a guy a Norris candidate who isn't a shut down guy? Or who doesn't kill penalties?

 Ahem....Sulzer was on the ice for the tying goal against the Habs not Myers. Forwards getting behind Sulzer cost Buffalo two goals last night. Myers has been good. Karlsson is about 2 months younger than Myers.
-
You would think that Karlsson's agent would be looking for terms better than Myers' terms.
-
A bit different I think....Hajt it was almost impossible to get inside or behind on him because of his positioning and reach. He was never a guy to really go for a crushing hit. He was as steady as they came in terms of consistency.
-
When I think of Hajt, I always think how low he would get when an oncoming rusher entered the zone. He would almost always out-wait whatever move they would try while staying square. He was beautiful to watch in that way.
-
Karlsson is the better player right now. Would I rather have Karlsson or Myers going forward? Myers. Now onto Housley or Borque? ;)

Glad to hear you are enjoying it.
