I like how she said the Amerks are “only” 4 for 16 on the PP against the Comets. As if 25% is somehow bad? That would be good for 10th in the NHL!

The Rochester Americans (4-3-0-0) are back on home ice looking to snap out of a two-game skid tonight as they host the first-place Utica Comets (5-1-0-1) in a North Division matchup at The Blue Cross Arena. Tonight’s 7:05 p.m. contest will be the fourth of 14 scheduled meetings between the two teams this season and also will be carried live on The Sports Leader 95.7 FM/950 AM ESPN Rochester as well as AHLTV. Rochester is 1-2-0-0 in the season series against the Comets after dropping a 7-2 decision in the teams’ previous get-together in Utica this past Friday. The contest remained a 2-2 tie through 40 minutes until the Comets erupted for a season-high five goals during the final period to snap the Amerks’ four-game win streak.

Noooooo! Not Jimmy Waite’s brother!

This is something you’d need to ask Ralph. 😂

Thats only a vague study on the short term, in game effects. How do these moments effect a team longer term?

I didn’t. I don’t have time to read every post. Glad to hear I was on point though.

I’m guessing the response would be “still didn’t make a difference in the game outcome so it was pointless.”

Cheers.

Are you mad about Cozens getting into a fight?
-
Ewwwww.

Can the Sabres stop with the dump and chase strategy? It doesn’t work for them and hasn’t all season.
-
I’d take one of the fan cardboard cutouts at this point and just let them play pond hockey.
-
Isn’t that weird? Good teams like to tinker and try to still improve?

Probably Fox News or Newsmax.

Looked like he was trying a Hail Mary shot on goal with 5 seconds left. It’s not like they were gonna transition up the ice in 5 seconds and generate a quality scoring opportunity. Id say not a buffoon.

I’m pretty sure the idea for this season was to at least be competing for a playoff spot - and right now, they’re miles from that. I also think the idea was to build off of competing for a playoff spot this season followed by much roster retooling to hopefully get even better - hence, why half the roster is on one year deals.

Ralph Krueger needs to go - like yesterday.

People need to stop equating the Bills and Sabres. In an NFL draft, teams are getting college players who can make an immediate impact. In the NHL, a lot of the draft picks will take 4+ years. You can change an NFL roster far quicker than an NHL one. Also, T&K lucking into a good McBeane combo has nothing to do with them sucking at finding the right leadership for the Sabres. The Sabres STILL suck a decade after “oh where’s Perreault? I loved him! This is hockey heaven now.” -
Oh, so an hour ago?

Terry and Kim are the biggest problem. The biggest solvable problem is Ralph. Which, coincidentally, is likely tied up with T&K. -
You spelled “in the next hour” wrong.

I mildly disagree with this. There is certainly enough talent on this roster to be competitive. I agree with this. There is no reason this roster should be getting shut out 2-3 games in a row or scoring only 14 goals in the last 9 games (7 came in 2 games against NJ). I’d say this is the most talent on paper since 2009 maybe. That they are THIS bad is absolutely ridiculous.

Idk, I’d speculate that the .880 improves with a team thats actually more focused on offense. More possession time and time in the o-zone probably leads to teams like the Flyers not taking almost 40 shots a game. 40 shots a game on a goalie with an .880 is what, 3.5 goals a game? Whittle that down to 25 shots a game, and that’s probably 2.2 goals a game. Improve the offense enough to score at least 3 goals a game, and there ya go. Keep scoring 0 goals a game, and the Sabres aren’t going to win even with the best tendies of all time. -
When???

Incorrect. A coaching change would likely improve our dead offense. Hopefully enough to score enough to win even with Hutton.
