Taylor had the Amerks playing different styles/systems than Krueger. A player with an elite shot such as his doesn’t need to be relegated to a PP specialist.

There is a potential that this view is skewed a bit. With the Amerks, Olof had 30 goals, 9 were PP. He was scoring fine 5v5. In the NHL, he has 29 goals, 19 are PP. With another season or 2 with the right coach and usage, I think he will probably get more 5v5 goals.

Amerks down 2-0 after 1. Were being outshot 13-1 at one point. Ended up 14-9.

As someone who watches or attends most Amerks games, Bryson was developing nicely. I will say I didn’t expect him to be as good with the Sabres this soon as he has been so far. It’s a pleasant surprise. I only hope the Sabres can RK before he starts messing up Bryson like he has with everyone else.

Ralph considers himself an intellectual. A great communicator. Likely what HE measures his own career on. He absolutely knew what he was saying. It’s been clear since the day he arrived that he doesn’t like Skinner. He was on a line that scored 100 goals, then RK moved him away inexplicably.
