  1. Even though it goes against my instincts and everything that I was bred to believe... One more tank. Having McDavid or Eichel improves our odds of continued success for a very long time, more so than having picks outside of the top 2.
  2. Mowing the lawn: DR: Asks Derek Roy to do it, then finds Roysie passed out drunk on the lawn, missing a flip flop. TM: Asks PLF to do it, but shoves PLF off the mower shortly thereafter, to do it himself. Advantage: TM
  3. No love for Rasmus or Mikhail?
  4. NHL Tonight has a nice thing running about RJ at the end of each showing, playing 10 of his calls. "Alexander Mogilny! Who said this guy is afraid to fly? He just left a vapor trail!" Whoa. A little uncalled for.
  5. 1. He scored too often when he first came up to the Sabres, so I think that set too high of expectations for many fans. 2. He had a lot of registered hits last year, but someone no one ever noticed them.
  6. During the 1990 NHL Entry Draft, Hawerchuk was involved in a blockbuster trade. Along with Winnipeg's 1st round choice (Brad May) in the draft, he was dealt to the Buffalo Sabres in exchange for Phil Housley, Scott Arniel, Jeff Parker and Buffalo's 1st round choice (Keith Tkachuk).
  7. I can't believe that they are really crying this hard about it.
  8. The Sabres kind of traded Tkachuk for Hawerchuk...
  9. I don't see much improvement for the Isles this year, even with their moves. I'm still waiting to see how Tavares will look following his injury...
  10. Add the word balls somewhere, and it's an AC/DC track.
  11. MacKinnon seemed to handle it just fine, just like many others.
  12. Oh yeah? WHERE'S THE TWEET?
  13. It was a day where Murray created a lot more fans of his on this board. For the future, we await.
  14. Poor Foligno. A guy that we all love and are pulling for, but so far has always left more to be desired.
  15. I don't read everything, but I was responding to the perceived lack of ass kickers and power forwards.
  16. Ass kickers and power forwards.
  17. Callaway and Taro: Gorges. Please don't make him the new Erhoff.
  18. Something tells me that he is ready for it, and will assume any responsibilities handed to him with eagerness.
  19. Now I'll probably start seeing Gionta at ESL Bank in Greece more often again.
  20. While I get the appeal of Cody (he was great in the playoffs against Boston), he is one light breeze away from another concussion. Of the signings, this is my least favorite. Would have preferred Rupp, or (cringe) Thornton.
  21. I'm going to guess that Gorges doesn't care what jersey number he gets.
