This is a good point. I skated for many years before I played hockey. I was always shaky hockey stopping left and crossing over while turning right. After a week or two playing in pads, I could do both of these things pretty easily. I think it's the combination of being able to skate without fear of injury and hockey being the primary objective, with skating having to become second nature.

With the front office overhaul and TM's comments about trading players at the deadline to manipulate draft position, here's hoping it's today :)

Nolan's face tells the story perfectly: he becomes noticeably bored during the 20 second question and follows it up with a cut and dry explanation of how this organization does things. "The tail can't wag the dog, the dog wags the tail." Then he gets a question about Grigorenko's struggles over the past few seasons (# of coaches, teams, countries blah blah) and Nolan said (paraphrasing) everyone has struggles, and if you can't put your nose to the grindstone and work, then there will always be somebody else there to take your job.

A little bit more spitfood for thought is that Reinhart has proved his consistency over several seasons whereas Bennett could just be having a really good year and will regress next year. I wish I had the time and the internet connection speed to watch ###### loads of junior hockey, because at this point all I can really add is hypothetical questions on top of these already unknown commodities. And Robviously, we know what you think will happen and how right you've been in the past. We've all read it like 60 times at least in the last year. I'll save my wrist slitting for after we lose the draft lottery and are actually picking out of the top 5.

Drafting on name alone is usually how my pre draft prep goes. If a player has a great name and also goes gay porn hard? He officially has "it."

I'd rather see if Grigorenko can do something in the next 2 years than wait 5 years for a 2015 2nd rounder. We have all the second rounders in the world, if you're going to trade Grigo, trade him for a prospect.

I have definitely missed Hodgson. In the last 7 games, the Sabres have scored more than 1 goal 3 times. More than 2 goals once.

I can't call what Kassian had a good game. Clearly his 6 hits demonstrated that the Penguins had much more possession of the puck when Kassian was on the ice. He also missed his attempt in the shootout, when his team needed him most for the win. A lazy player that pads his terrible stats in a loss is exactly the kind of player that buf needs :rolleyes:

Luck makes me hate the Colts. From Payton Manning to Andrew Luck while the Bills mediocre their way through a decade and a half. 1 amazing game and 1 pretty good game. Keep it coming, playoffs :beer:

EJ Is payed on the rookie wage scale. He's making nowhere near the money that starting QBs make. And I think he will improve based on his work ethic, intelligence, and the flashes he showed (which to some were non existent). I'm certainly not opposed to taking a QB in the draft, though.

Nobody called him that. My point was more about rookie qbs than qbs picked high. Seems like now every qb has to be rg3 or luck their rookie year or they are busts.

Name all the rookie qbs that looked like franchise qbs not picked in the top 3.

In an alternate universe where we had a gm that actually built a real roster I would've traded McCabe an Pysyk for young forwards. Sekera was a good puck mover but also one of the most sure handed in his own zone. But eh, I can definitely live with the young guys.
