    Definitely. Maybe the Bills will be in that position round 1 and maybe not. If nobody's there maybe take a 3rd or 4th round flier on one if EJ hasn't improved at all. I think EJ will show us something before the year's over.

    EJ's a project. He has all the things you can't teach, but has so much to learn. I'm excited by the poise and confidence he showed in his first few games, as I wasn't even expecting him to start this year. But at least EJ is infinitely more likely to learn to correct his mechanics than Fitz was at age 28 :sick:

    Unfortunately, we're going to have to wait a couple years until ANYONE knows whether or not EJ is a franchise guy.

    There was no excuse for losing this game. The Bills had several opportunities to take control of the game and never even came close. EJ looked good when he decided to run, so he learned from that mistake, but he looked just as bad if not worse than he did in the ~2.5 games before he got hurt. The offensive play calling was incredibly brutal. The Bills didn't take 1 shot down field all game, and I'm not sure whether that's on EJ or Hackett. Every week gets harder and harder to watch.

    I think people get really fixated on championships, especially Buffalo fans. I can't see draftees winning cups as a sign of anything, good or bad. What if the draftee ends up getting dealt at the deadline and the difference between him winning a cup and not is an extra 3rd rounder. What if he's like Pommer and gets waived before he develops but actually gets claimed by a cup winner? Darcy's biggest sin is he's terrible at building rosters. I've never had a problem with the way the franchise has drafted under Darcy. It's most of the other things that he sucks at.

    McNabb absolutely destroyed that guy. I can understand having a violent reaction to seeing that done to a teammate in the moment. It does suck that McNabb has to sit 5 for a clean hit.
