My gramma is 88, and has very advanced dementia. I'm currently care taking for her full time. I haven't heard her sing in probably about a year. The last (and only) time I heard her sing it was this: Yesterday I was flipping between music channels. I landed on "old school funk." She read the channel name off the tv in a sweet voice and then scatted a little. It's so jarring and touching to hear. Then, when I put her to bed I said my usual "Good night Gramma, I love you." She normally responds with "Thank you." Or a laugh and a smile. Last night she said "I love you too." I think that's the first time she's ever said that to me.

That was fun. 4 years ago was really hard to take. Tonight's absolute whoopin' made me feel better.

I went to Firefly this year. 2nd time seeing Paul McCartney live. Wasn't as earth-shattering (amazing, life changing, incredible) as the first time. But it was the first time my little sister saw him, so good enough for me. Sublime's set was awesome until it got interrupted by a huge thunderstorm. Because of that storm I didn't get to see Lettuce at all :( Cage the Elephant was awesome. Great energy.

I haven't seen Oduya take dumb penalties either. He seems to be a very solid defensive 2nd pairing guy.

The two things I like about Stewart are his skating ability and fighting. Everything else about him is very overrated. Big =\= hard to play against. I'd pay him 1 mil to play on the 4th line because it'd be more fun to have another good fighter on the squad. If he ever took ice time from Foligno, Larsson, or Deslauriers I'd be disappointed.

Plenty of good stuff for Roch today. I'm very impressed that TM wants to be a winning organization at every level. I hadn't thought about it before, but these signings for Roch will help the Jackals, too. They were pretty miserable this past year, and got pillaged by the Amerks (who got pillaged even harder by the Sabres).

2 out of 3 Reinharts traded in the last week. I hope we trade our Reinhart for Lucic.
