  1. I've missed hockey so much. All this draft/trade excitement and I can't even play. Our local rink is being renovated (yeah right) and probably won't open until September. A couple weeks ago there were two nights in a row that I had hockey dreams (dreams in which I play hockey). I'm playing soccer twice a week, frisbee twice a week, volleyball when I can. None of it satisfies me (as much as hockey).
  2. Baptiste has been living in Canada, where it's legal for a kid his age to drink.
  3. He's a decent forward, it just seems like he's always snakebit. That, and he's a diver. How can you be that huge and dive that much?
  4. This has pretty much always been my opinion of Jozy.
  5. I'm assuming it's to make the pack harder to track.
  6. Couldn't he have waited 1 more day to get banned again? It would've been fun to hear his thoughts on this and the Duke Williams thing.
  7. Maybe some of you should be so lucky to have someone in your family be a Tim Horton's building.
  8. Easy, killer. People are going to joke about everything.
  9. I don't think the possibility of cap problems down the road is any sort of argument against O'Reilly.
  10. Plenty of time to toss the drugs while you're fleeing the scene. What an idiot.
  11. ?? By "going down" I mean getting injured.
  12. Is Grigg a defense(wo)man or a forward? "and was named the College Hockey America Best Defensive Forward of the Year."
  13. Having center ice solved is not overkill. You want quality centers on the wings to shift in when your centers go down. It's the most important position in the game (unless you have a top 3 goaltender). In the short term, O'Reilly enables better line match-ups for Reinhart and Eichel while they learn the NHL game. In the long term, when we're in the finals against the Hawks or the Flames and Reinhart goes down. Do you want O'Reilly or Larsson stepping into his spot?
  14. You're selling the board short as a whole if you really believe this.
  15. Zadorov got all the love at the draft, but Ristolainen showing his stuff at the NHL level sooner won the fans over. He showed some very promising play during that horrible abomination of a season. Can't wait to see how his offensive game looks when the forwards aren't total junk (which they don't look to be anymore).
  16. I'm mesmerized by that. I watched it probably around ~15 times. Jack's form is amazing. I love the way he starts the shot with his left hand.
  17. Why? I will gladly talk ###### about them freely. And you've pointed out that Boston will have a better year than us next year. You're probably right but when it comes to which franchise would I rather be in the position of? It's the Sabres every time. Two young centers to build around, and another talented center signed for 8 seasons. The Bruins' star is fading, while the Sabres star is just about to start waxing. It's to be expected for Sabres fans to enjoy the changing of the guard. Where is this air of respect when talking about Boston coming from? Who cares about those losers?
  18. This thread (and board) is amazing.
  19. I agree that Stewart is big and has some skill (good wheels and a nice shot). But he's not very physical. He's a great fighter, but it doesn't translate into his hockey game.
  20. Luke Adam FTFY
  21. Homeboy will be fine when he isn't being coached by Teds Nolans. (Homeboy even played well at the end of the season with Teds Nolans as coach) I think it's as simple as: He wasn't a good fit for next year's roster. He got jerked around by Darcy big time so he resented the organization. Whatevs. I wish him the best, and still think he'll make a fine #2 someday.
  22. It is? I'm disappointed in GMTM.
  23. The way you're talking about him makes Chara sound like a goaltender. I don't think he's going to be able to find a magic second wind that will allow him to play well. His skating is the biggest issue, and that's only going to get worse.
  24. I feel like there are two chess masters going at it right before my eyes, but I don't know the rules of chess.
  25.  Ahh! Good call. This is awesome. We actually have several talented forwards. So many that I forget about them.
