    Sam is going to be better than O'Reilly. He'll have roughly similar skill, but better vision and physicality.

    ??? He wasn't out of place. He didn't make any really impressive plays, either. Bogo was just on our #2 PP so I don't think hom being put on the PP really means that much. If he's a bigger Rudy, that might be enough already to be a 3rd pairing D-man.

    I cringed when he tried to lay down to stop the cross pass on a 2-on-1 and was too slow. Bogo is too expensive to be our #4. He's not terrible, but his contract makes him bad value.

    Fasching was impressive, but his skating definitely has a ways to go. Hopefully he can be the crease crashing casher that we need. Gorges, Bogosian, and McCabe are all #4 defensemen at best based on their play this year. I have hope for McCabe to continue growing, but that's where we need the most help. I didn't notice the new guy all that much, except he looked smooth and unintimidated. Samson is giving me feelings. That turnover he created on the game winning goal was so awesome. Then he had to bend the backhand pass around Foligno to spring Jack, who's scored several against the grain goals like that this year.

    The more I think about it, the more I really like the McGinn comparison. Zemgus will probably give you slightly worse production, just as much effort, better defense, and better possession.

    WC, don't bother. The show and the books might as well be separate entities at this point. Season 6 of GoT is going to be nothing like Winds of Winter (the 6th asoiaf book, which isn't out yet).

    Skyped with my girlfriend for 2 hours today. It's amazing how much closer she feels while halfway across the world than my ex ever did being just 45 minutes away. I just ate hibachi with the family, now I'm gonna throw down some jams with my little step sister who just rolled into town.

    I mean, maybe in pop music, but even then there's exceptions. There's plenty of great bands out there that write and play their own songs.

    I think he's just old. And he was never that bad for the Canadiens.As for looking through a "character guy" or "good vet" lens, Vanek is definitely bad news.

    He's still good on the boards, but his play with the puck lately has been severely lacking in confidence. Thanks for the stats, Blue.

    I'm in the bunker. Myers is better. Bogo is nastier, which we definitely need from our blue line, but it's not enough. (I've also missed a lot of games lately and haven't seen a lot of his points. I've hated him on the PP.)

    Thomas Vanek was never the problem here. Darcy was. Vanek was just the best forward on our poopy team.

    So... yeah. Apparently our caretaker is dead. I don't know how, yet, but he was just a kid. So sad for him and his family. It feels so strange to look at my elderly gramma and think about that boy being dead.
