Of course I was, as were many others. To rage about something from emotion is to forgo relevant facts. In this case, the eyes tell a tale of truth in the replay. But, in the interest of full disclosure, I've had more than my fair share of ranting and raving from emotions. Hey, what can I say, like all of you, I'm emotionally vested in hockey..............

It already has. Generations X, Y, Z and next gener's are already using it to some extent or another. Integration of cultures procures that to be a done deal.

I find it amusing how people ask for things to remain the same. In point of fact, all languages go through changes, some faster than others. Change is inevitable, in any and all aspects of the human experience, including but not limited to language.

Not surprising at all. It was a clean hit, as I stated originally. http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/21963-around-the-nhl-2013-2014/page__st__2200#entry534328

Schenn clearly turns away at the last second. Shoulder to shoulder is clear for all to see. Clean hit, no suspension warranted. Nothing to see here, move along.

If we end up with the #2 pick and Reinhart is taken #1, I look to Edmonton for a trade. And not just in picks mind you. I'd look to move a young stud d man with the pick for a chance at one of Eberle or Yakupov, that is, if they are game for it. What I am hoping for is a crack at another top 5 pick this draft. Without having to give up the 1st overall. What that would require can be up for debate for sure. But any one of Dal Colle, Leon Draisaitl or Nick Ritchie. It would be nice to have a winger to go along with Reinhart.

Thanks, I'm going to check out the software available for the IPAD. I'd like to scan his 1 page estimate form in, then, with voice recognition software, have him speak to fill it out, since he's not a typer for sure. Then, Print out a hard copy for the customer. I'd also like to link it to a data base, so he can finally start to run some real revenue generation and potentials numbers. My Brother runs S&S Tree Service out of North Tonawanda, and his operation is growing very quickly since he took over, just looking to make it easier for him.

Nicely ended. I'll just let you know that I was an Intellegence Specialist in the Navy for a number of years, and as such when I would enter the 5th fleets area, the briefings tell a far different story than you do here. But, I agree, let's leave this discussion for another day. Couldn't agree more GCoE. That is why many are waiting for the culture change.

I need some help as well with regards to an xmas gift for my brother. He runs a small business and does alot of estimates around the northern region of WNY. He uses paper, which is fine, but I'd like to simplify his system if possible with an Ipad or tablet, he's not into typing, so touch screen is what I'd be looking at. One that can mount in a vehicle. Here are the parameters I'd be interested in seeing, if anyone can tell me if something like this is available, please let me know, thanks. 1. Plug wifi or usb hardline in for phone use direct on the pad/tablet. 2. mounts to dash of vehicle. 3. scan his estimate forms in via software and voice recognition so he can fill it out. 4. attached small printer for paper print outs. 5. GPS accessible. Basically I'd like to try and tie in his phone that he can answer hands free, voice recognition so he can fill out his estimates on the go and print out a form as well. Anyone have any ideas on this?

Yes from Iran. a majority of the weapons that are sent into Hamas and Hezbollah are indeed procured or shipped via Iranian power brokers. I'm not touting all weapons mind you, but a majority of them and the training to use them as well. The president if Iran still answers to the council, and they are prominently hardliner led. I can't see them relinquishing power any time in the near term future.
-
Not true in Iran's case. Iran is upset with the US, at least older Iranians because the US CIA backed the coup in 53 which installed a puppet for the oil companies, i.e. Shah's son. That regime was the catalyst for the revolution in 79, which I remember very well. And the risk is very real for the Persian Gulf, where a majority of the worlds oil supplies flowed through for almost 5 decades. There is much to be said about passing through the silkworm envelope back in my day in the service. In any event, it's all coming full circle, but if the hardliners stay at the top in power, no matter who retains the Iranian presidency, Isreal is still at real risk of mass attack on it's civilian population. And just what do you believe the response will be if a WMD is set off in Tel Aviv?
-
True, I should. But unfortunately I can remember American Citizens being tortured and killed by Iran's satellite groups in the middle east for years. The hijackings, the hangings, the killings, it goes on and on. It's just another way the current power brokers in Iran speak out of the side of their mouths. The only way I see it changing is when the current youth in Iran take power, and that doesn't appear to be for a decade or 2 from now. This is immediately skewed thinking. They already have done many things against Isreal, over and over again. Where do you think the weapons that are lobbed from southern Lebanon and Gaza come from in majority?
-
Please! If anyone kids themselves into believing Iran would actually commit themselves to this, they are delusional point blank. The stated goal of Iran has been and always will be the complete and utter destruction of Isreal. They've publicly stated such since the Mullah's have taken power. To honestly believe with them still in power the goal has changed is pure stupidity, nothing less. People, fellow citizens, please, open your eyes. They sponsor and offer multiple supplies to groups that target innocent people for death. To actually believe otherwise is pure stupidity. If this nation achieves nuclear weapon capability it would leave Isreal no choice but to strike with their own. Fire is being played with here, and Obama has made another grave mistake. I would never vote for this guy. Wake up AMERICA!!!!!!, And I'm an independent.

Not one of those stat numbers impress me. Each of those players are playing in different environments. None of them has the ability to truly lead on their own, which is what Buffalo needs. Regardless of their personal stats season wise, Buffalo needs elite game changers, not support players in line ups with elite talent.

Pysyk is doing just fine. It's the over all team play that hurts the D +/-. This team has no sustainable offensive zone presence, let alone pressure. The team, in it's roster entirety, is learning defensive hockey and not doing well at it I might add. Player changes aren't needed, attitude, competitive environment, the will to go above and beyond and skill set training are needed however. It was a mistake to send Risto and Zadorov down in my opinion. It does nothing for their NHL experience levels and actually sets the rebuild back IMHO. Build from the net out, we shouldn't be worried about these 2 players ability to grasp the rebuild time line, I believe they fully understood it. Pysyk, although young, is getting that training in the NHL. We'll be fine on the blue line regardless. What this team needs is elite forward talent, and not just on lines 1 and 2, but 3 as well.

Thank you Darcy and Ron. Look at Girgenson, his work ethic. Nolan's reputation on hard work precedes him. If there is compete in the players on the roster, he should be able to bring it out. Let's enjoy the ride while Nolan is here, at least until we can see actual results, one way, or the other.

New President of Hockey Operations, Presser @10:30 a.m.
HopefulFuture replied to spndnchz's topic in The Aud Club
I am soooooo happy. This is truly a historic day in Sabres history, and a good one. Finally, Regier is gone. Thank you Terry and Ted, thank you for this day. To La La and Nolan, bond this current group of youth together. To our new GM (whomever that may be), go forth and build us our DYNASTY!!!!! -
Ah, thank you. Totally forgot about the Bryz signing.

The fences are down. Rick and the group are going to realize in an episode or 2 that staying at the prison isn't feasible safety wise. They'll be on the move again I'm guessing. Further in land, TN maybe, or north. I'm guessing they are going to realize even with the huge risk being somewhat close to a population center, they'll need to be in travel distance for supplies. Food, medicine and other items. Then there is the radio transmission heard by the medicine gathering party. The governor is back to finally end that scene and create another I'm guessing. They'll be on the move. If they were smart, they'd head into the hills of TN. The smokey mtns. Get water at the source to minimize possible contamination, close to Johnstown or Knoxville, for Supplies as well. Daryl will be mad, but he'd already written off his own brother knowing the truth early on. Don't be fooled, Daryl is more complex than many give him credit for, he surely would understand the risks she created with the group. When your willing to take actions that the group would view as a threat to a majority of them. Maggie's response to Rick when he asked her, it's how the group in general is going to feel. The Daryl/Rick event will most likely begin and end next episode, and neither are going anywhere anytime soon off the show in my opinion. Hell, the entire series is based from the start around Rick, he surely isn't going anywhere.

I believe they dumped Smid in preparation of another move. Neither of those players picked up from Calgary are going to do much in Edmonton. I think many hockey fans that follow the talent somewhat closely feel the same way. I also believe Hemsky will get moved as well. Maybe as part of a blueline solution, just speculating on that end of it though. My eye is on the cap for them, and not just short term, but somewhat longer term as well. Agreed on Hall. I too feel it would be foolish to jettison Eberle and to early to do the same to Yak.

That leg is broken for sure. Hope it's a clean break, for his sake.

Darren Dreger says otherwise :P Darren Dreger: In the eyes of Oilers management, Jordan Eberle will be an Oiler forever. He’s not a trade target GM of team A can inquirer or look into any player they'd like, that doesn't mean team B, who has aforementioned player, is going to trade them however.
-
This is true. This is also not only true, but the appropriate route to take. We don't need to actually have him on the ice if were worried about the cap floor. We merely have to have him as a cap hit. Let him sit in the press box all season, ######'em.

I can assure you, the Sabres aren't trading back if they pick 2nd and Eckblad is there. They'll take him, and rightfully so. Why in the hell would you decrease your ability to accumulate bargaining chips? Look, I know fans are already falling in love with Risto, Zad's, Pysyk and McCabe, but honestly, if we get Eckblad, it would be a coup, no doubt about it. I'm all for offensive elite players in the draft, but you don't turn away from talent like Eckblad in a trade down, that's just insane.
