I wouldn't be surprised if employees there have to sign agreements to not share information about the business that occurs at the arena, take photos and share ton the Internet, etc. So yes, I would imagine it could be such an offense. I don't know that it is but given the speculative nature of sports I would not be surprised by it.

They just dropped the n when they titled the sequel.

I'll bet his phone already rang. It was that same 716-500-0000 number. Only this time they didn't hang up when he answered. it was Murray.. he asked "get my message?"

I knew you were having fun. All of this is fun. :) But, having to get a turnover takes more work that winning a faceoff because you have to then exert effort to get to where the puck has gone. :) Thanks. :w00t:

Awesome.

Going full speed all the time isn't necessary. Granted I am not watching him but sometimes it pays to coast and let the play develop or let it come to you. Usually if you have to go full speed it's because you were out of position or got beat. Not sure that's a great retort. Think about it. If they had won the faceoff they wouldn't have had to force a turnover. So, the loss of the first action necessitated a second action. Whereas winning the first action would have solved the possession problem. Not that I want to get pulled into the debate. But you know.. I guess I do.

Oh dear god, shut up. Go find all the owners who have fired GMs and coaches and still pay them and have also put the squeeze on the taxpayer for a stadium, downtown or otherwise. This is sports and this happens all the time. Just shut up. Shut up. Shut up. You are trying to despise an owner, for being an owner. You are trying to blame Terry Pegula for doing things that owners do, day in and day out. He's not an exception. Nothing makes him worse. Every thread, everywhere.. this kind of crap comes up.

There are multiple ways you could analyze season ticket prices. 1. Avg. ticket price relative to the payroll. 2. Avg. ticket price relative to the league 3. Avg. ticket price relative to the financial status of the area the team serves 4. Avg. ticket price relative to league performance You might get some different answers in each situation. Which one is best? The simple economics says.. you have a waiting list, raise the prices until you do not have a waiting list. :)

Knob Creek makes a mean 120 proof bourbon... I enjoy it. Have at it! And for what it's worth it only tastes bad if it hits your tongue!

Not true. He drives a Honda. I tried telling that to the judge. He didn't agree.

In his post-season press conference? I missed it. It sure does. I stopped using it when they charged me $9.95 for the first 10 minutes. Right now Mike Babcock's phone keeps ringing. The Caller ID says 716-500-0000. They hang up before he can answer but the message is clear.

Could you imagine this board with an auto-corrected Drane? The Mods would be bored.

This thread is going well. It's still not big enough to play goal.

My understanding is that it should be Zhid-litch-key. But I'm definitely not an expert on these things.

We've all learned not to become lawyers or doctors. -
Even the Buffalo cliches are second class.

It's stuff like that that will win fans over in the coming years. Those are some classics.

I think there is too much emphasis placed on the NHL itself for these problems. The players formed a Union so they could get better representation. I don't see the NHLPA doing anything to speak to its own constituency about the problem. I don't see the NHLPA stepping up for the transition program. The NHL and NHLPA have to work together on this but I'll never understand how the Union doesn't become more involved when one of its own members takes out another of its members.

So we now know who Chz is.. -
The flipside of the problem are the players who keep turning their back to plays with the expectation that they are not supposed to get hit. Most of the time it works, but in those split seconds sometimes it doesn't. Sure, they draw a penalty but was it worth it? Watch how many players flip a puck and immediately turn their back to a checker. Watch how many guys cycle along the boards but will put themselves in a vulnerable position the moment they think they will get lit up with the expectation they won't. In truth, of most players anticipated the hits and didn't turn their back to plays I think the amount of problems would also lessen. But because there are rules and consequences for the hitting now you see a lot of players no longer willing to take the hit to make the play. They turn their back and expect that they have gained an advantage because they can't get hit anymore. Except when they do.

Clearly they signed Rodrigues so Eichel can skate with him while in Rochester.

Product Manager - currently overseeing Carrier Ethernet services, before that overseeing Cloud Services. Generally speaking, I research markets, develop new product requirements, perform price analysis and a million other things. My job is to run my product as if I were the CEO of a company selling just my products. The only trick is that I don't get to fire people who underperform. Historically I am a tech person, done everything in IT you can think of from help desk through cloud engineering, etc. Blah blah blah. I do free lance CTO/CIO type consulting for small non-profits as well. And I coach hockey and baseball.. because the best remedy for a bad day is to coach kids. -
Always wondered what happened to this guy.
