It is an incredible series to watch. Of course I lost power last night for most of the game, so that sucked. The NHL needs to stream all games next year. It just has to be done. There is no reason anymore to not do it.
-
Yep.. the only way the Coyotes could move to the East was if two teams moved to the West. I don't see it happening. But they need to move.

Sure, make them read the tank threads until they throw up? See if they can make it through the Stafford must go thread? Try and understand one of Yuri's posts? See if they can decipher some of the conspiracy theories on here?

The idea of a playoff beard is so horrible that EA Sports finally caved in to my one request for the NHL series and will introduce playoff beards in NHL 16. Playoff beards that will grow through the playoffs automatically. If it's in the game... One problem I have the with the positioning of the NBC statement is that is speaks to the "ideal beauty" concept. Guys don't need to shave in order to be beautiful. Accept who they are and market the beards... Ugh.. it's ignorance to the nth degree.

Was arrested for mopery.

Holy crap that's ridiculous. The NHL should be able to fire NBC right now. Ignorance abound. Why not also lobby to have them take their helmets off so we can see their young, beautiful faces while they are skating around? Gimme a break.

ESPN Sucks chose his avatar because he doesn't have a small dinklage.

Problem: Referees do not call penalties that impede the progress of the game. Any solution that does not address that issue is not going to help. Not at all. Fix the problem, don't create new problems on top of the old ones.

PA is really Terrence M. Pegula.

I might have to take a look. Like I said.. quality over quantity is usually how i roll. Always wise to have a lesser bottle hanging around so you can start with the best and then step it down a notch after the fact.

I totally agree. My exposure to whiskey while in my early drinking years was JD and so I came to the conclusion that I hated the stuff. Now, I know better. It's like that with tequila for a lot of people. They drink that non-premium Cuervo which is not 100% agave or they drink some other lower end tequila that is 100% and get turned off by it. Good tequila... oh.. man.. Anyway.. I've not had Evan Williams and not sure I will. I can afford the BT and ER so I go for that. I sampled Woodford Reserve Double Oaked one time.. I just haven't pulled the trigger on the $52 price point. I'm a huge oak character guy.

Well played! While I understand what you are getting at, generally speaking I think people would like to see you offer some insight of your own to the comments being shared in the Twitter link. I would agree as I think it adds a human touch to the post. And on with the show...

Isn't Evan Williams like 40% less costly as Eagle Rare and Buffalo Trace? (I love BT and ER). Not quite the same budget I am thinking. Although it was in college when I adapted the philosophy of buying a better product and then taking longer to drink it so I could savor it more. The extra cost of the booze was offset by the savings in ibuprofen.

Okay.. jumping in. 1. I pretty much never look at anyone's post count. It's information I don't need. 2. I pretty much never look at anyone's name.. they keep changing them. 3. I usually recognize the poster by the avatar or when I read their name in a quoted response somewhere else, or by their writing style. I use the same criteria I do anywhere else. 1. If you state a well formed opinion based with logical reasoning, you are in. 2. If you ask a question with the hopes of learning more, you are in. 3. If you make a statement as though it's been blessed by your chosen diety, you are out. 4. If you continually attempt to sidestep profanity filters, throw insults, and try to be snarky and fail, you are out. Most of the time I am sure I won't respond to posts of no value. There's little chance of it being worth the energy expenditure. There are exceptions though. Now, onto the good stuff. This place is great. It's highly addictive and even when I don't want to visit, I have to visit. So I blame all of you for that. It also helps that I love hockey, even if I won't always make time to watch it. Now, be good, do good.

If the demo for NHL 16 shows me its fixed the control issues then I will buy it for XBone. Otherwise. no chance. Playing Neverwinter right now. Crazy free game that I've sunk so many hours into... nice.

The Internet can now be shut down.

What tank? - "This statement brought to you by Selective Memory Erasers, Inc." Ted Black's? wha.....? oh.. nevermind. Bottom line Chicago is that damn good. Read an article by LeBrun talking about Coach Q's lineup change during the game to split Toews and Kane and immediately causing problems. Coaching.. it's where it's at.

The Burgerplex can barely get visible lines in the ice.. this might be asking a bit much.

DDB will never have that mullet.

I know where you are going. However, I've never seen fans not cheer a goal because a backup was in net. The whole idea here is that back to back games in the playoffs would be bad. in the playoffs you would have the same teams and same goalies. So if the .1 drop in save % occurred it would be within those parameters. In short.. I think we can all say there is no definitive data that would prove/disprove the back to back theory at this point time. So, it's back to personal preference.
-
If save percentage drops by .1 doesn't that mean that scoring goes up? So, is it that a goaltender is more or less fatigued than the other players on the ice? Also.. more scoring, so not necessarily a bad thing right? In no way trying to be a jerk.. but that's a sample size of 1.

Can't watch the whole thing now but I could see him being down on the sport at the youth level. It is overcoached, much like many youth sports. It's insane how much people put into this with some faint glimmer of hope that their precious child will get an opportunity to play professionally. There's a time and place but having your kid on the ice constantly at age 7,8,9 and travelling all over the continent for them to play is ridiculous. I see it even within my son's organization. People constantly worried about getting their kids to the offseason clinic or some skate and shoot. They ignore reality which is in about 2 years their kids will begin to go through puberty and most of them will develop a body type that will never succeed at a high enough level. Sorry.. off topic.. but kids do need to play all kinds of sports, it's incredible for the development of the muscle structure and to develop more coordinated motor abilities. (That and kids at age 9 don't grasp the 2-1-2 forecheck, but that's another post for another time). On the other hand.. RJ. Sounds positive. Thanks for posting. I'll have to come back to it.

Chicago all the way. I'll give TB at least 1 win.. so Blackhawks in 5. I just don't see them being able to stop Chicago. Tampa is a run and gun team that leaves a lot of open space. Space that guys like Hossa and Sharp use very well. I'm not including Toews and Kane because they'll be rock solid no matter what.

At least they aren't throwing #2 in your face.

Mentioned it here as well : http://forums.sabrespace.com/topic/19345-good-whiskywhiskey/page-21?do=findComment&comment=687737 Still.. the 120 proof Knob Creek is very good. Had some last night.. perhaps more than some, I can't remember.
