I don't think this hurts StubHub all that much. The STH can resell their ticket on stubhub at their season ticket price. Initially their pricing will be better than the Sabres remaining ticket price which is their price plus some mark up. The STH is committed to the game so if they don't sell their ticket (assuming they can't use it) they are effectively throwing that money away. Fans should look to Stubhub first to buy a ticket as it will be cheaper. There will be a point where buying it from the Sabres may be as cheap. This does not include a discussion on fees added to a ticket price.

The word was the USWNT was going to appeal this decision as being too harsh. I think it's warranted. I have no problem demanding more from people in the realm of respect and sportsmanship. Her entire argument was the equivalent of the "Campers suck" argument from first person shooters. Playing defensively is a strategy. Solo can shut up and serve her suspension. I'm not impressed by her ability as it is.

I'll be curious how this plays out but on the surface I can't see this being a bad thing. Variable pricing occurs in many industries. In this case the season ticket holder knows they are getting the best deal they can get from the Sabres. Everyone else can sit around and watch the price change and buy when it meets their budget.

The Sabres didn't even contact me to interview for their Director of IT position they had posted.

Pretty sure at this point even September will be welcomed for camp purposes and the World Cup of Hockey. Although there didn't seem to be much discussion of Team USA's hockey dominance in the under 18 tournaments recently.

Can't be booed if you are not on the ice. :) But honestly... So there they were (Sabres leadership) sitting around thinking.. how much do we want to spend on marketing this summer? There was a lot of muttering and discussion and then Murray clears his throat. The room falls silent. Why would Tim Murray want to chime in on marketing? Tim says, "I've got this third round pick I don't need. You're talking about spending a good amount of money on advertising. What if I go out and trade for the rights to this kid Vesey. People can talk about Buffalo as being in on a huge name and our name will be out there." "Do you want him?" "No, I don't want him. He's not my kind of player. We'll pitch him. Tell everyone the choice is his and when he goes elsewhere we can move on." "Hmmmm.." This morning at the water cooler. "81 pages... those guys at the fan forum hit 81 pages talking about this." <Tim Murray Face> Bottom line? I was off the grid when the news broke. Didn't care, still don't. He's on his way now...

Wonder how the US will do in Pokemon...

The view I prefer to take... especially when we began emerging from the dark ages on this board and with this team. I've contemplated changing it again but I don't think we're there yet (on this board, or on this team.)

It's actually an interesting topic and the rules have been altered in both directions that have really messed around how she can compete. http://deadspin.com/the-debate-about-caster-semenya-isnt-about-fairness-1785355953 There's some serious debate going on. This article discusses some of the testosterone measurements, etc. I was listening to something on NPR that discussed real scientific studies on how they can effectively (and non-intrusively) determine these things so that athletes could be put into a proper competition bracket. The situations are rare but there's little doubt that because of her genetics and development she has advantages. I can't imagine her life dealing with all of this.

And it's good too.. but then Lost Abbey knows how to make great beer. The Gose style has provided many interesting names.

Well, one potential theory to make this up is to cover your butt about something else that you were doing that you should not have been doing? But in the realm of things I care about...

I guess he's signing with Providence then?

So you blame the player for the hype? What kind of nonsense is that? How is the player responsible for the hype people generate about him? Hate the fans...

Most players aren't picking the perfect spot when the score. They know where the net is and they have an understanding of where the shot should get to barring interference. The impressive part of the goal is not that it goes in it's that he has the creativity and the mental prowess to choose that move at that moment with an understanding that it will generate a quality shot on net. How do you hate on that goal? I presume all the no-look passes in the NHL also disgust you? Confused.

You must really hate La Villa Strangiato then. No redeeming qualities for you. Wait.. do we hate Rush or Boston? I'm so confused. "TO" Rush. Jimmy Vesey Hates To Rush. :)

But if you want an out.. you can always claim you don't support big beer. http://atlanta.eater.com/2016/7/20/12241134/terrapin-beer-co-bought-millercoors-tenth-blake

I believe his last request was to have you banned from SabreSpace but the mods declined the Sabres request. Jimmy signing with Chicago is contingent on the NHL moving them into the Eastern Conference. Everyone knows that. That's not news. More interestingly is to see what other moves might be held up waiting to see how this ends up.

Most of the analysis said that he is running the same speed at the end of the race as he is at 30m. The other runners all begin to slow down. I'm sure being 6'5 helps in that regard. He's still an insanely gifted athlete. Good idea. The marketers have wanted more people to feel this way so they could start the Jr. Olympics. :)

Hell.. that might be the MOST fun! Let's not talk more about Solo. She's a joke, a disgrace, and should be unremembered. She's gained fame because of the women who play in front of her. And Ledecky...just.. wow.

And once again reading SabreSpace while eating lunch proves to be a bad idea... I am now cleaning up a few food bits that may have just sprayed everywhere.

Not that I care too much about this whole thing.. but I find this interesting: http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/nhl-news-rumours-veseys-list-wisniewski-signs-pto/ And the quote from his agent. So, when the agent says that he hopes the Bruins will contact them... isn't that frowned upon?

I think Moulson was a little of that and there was a perception that he could put up points. The problem was that he didn't adapt well. This season will be the tell-tale one for him. Can he put himself in a position on DDB's team to be productive or will be trade/buyout candidate? But yes, he wanted to be here. He was going to be sought after that off-season. He had ties to others and was a stabilizing presence.
