  1. Snachez and EJ are very similar read and accuracy wise. The difference is the Jets had a quarterback who tried to beat the other team. EJ is getting his yards from screens and slants (he might be dangerous if he could read and throw the out, but alas, that is not the quarterback we have). When the Bills do call on him to make an actual skilled passing play, he fails. But I agree, if Mark Sanchez can beat Manning and Brady on consecutive weeks to make the AFCC, surely EJ can do the same. I'd certainly be willing to part with next years first round pick on those odds.
  2. If anything I'd be biased AGAINST Sanchez. He's a ###### Trojan.
  3. He doesn't have to be a lot worse just 2-3 games a year worse and he'll never get the chance to win a playoff game. And yes he is that much worse than Sanchez. I was holding out hope that he might be in that middle third of QBs who occasionally back their way in like Dalton or Sanchez. The last three games have shown me that he is not. Any chance Watkins can throw?
  4. I just watched ej's presser. In addition to being a QB with a mediocre ceiling, he is a terrible leader. Every what went wrong answer started with 3 problems other positions caused before finally getting back to something in his control. Zero passes beyond the line of scrimmage for touchdowns. He didn't have a pick only because Watkins is awesome. All his accuracy and read issues were on great display. This team might be 8-8 with some luck. EJ will never play quarterback in a playoff game. He's just not good enough. He's not Andy dalton.
  5. In the pp you also want the guys who are strong on the puck. You lose the puck, you lose 15-20 seconds. Also, check out the Detroit highlights from the end of last season. He can move the puck.
  6. There might not be a single player on the roster that you and I see the same way :)
  7. EJ may never hurt the bills. But he certainly is never going to hurt the opposing team.
  8. The orioles won the series when I was 11 months old. Notre Dame won the national championship when I was 6. I vaguely remember that. Since then, my teams are a combined 0-6 in championship games.
  9. "And I would do anything for love, but I won't do that."
  10. Above average second line right wing. You want the team to be competitive, right. Or is this a Meatloaf situation?
  11. I think the man created it out of thin air. Genius. Pure. F'N. Genius. ;)
  12. That second part is backed up by evidence. Your position is a hunch. The odds of a player suffering a career ending injury are higher than the odds of the first forward returning to juniors because players do get hurt, but the first forward NEVER returns to juniors. Samson is a lock, or this draft was not only weak in depth, but weak at the top like no draft in decades.
  13. Samson is a lock. Moulson is more likely to have a career ending injury in the preseason than Reinhart is to get sent back to Juniors before the end of October.
  14. Reinhart. The kid's getting at least his 9 this year. The odds are hugely in favor of him never playing in juniors again (it would be the first first overall forward to fail to make the jump from juniors in a couple decades.) Risto. He'll be on the Roster, he's ready, and he'll be here in 3. Myers. Either he's great and we keep him around a long time, or he's terrible and untradeable due to the contract. Gorges. HE has a limited NTC, which I'm sure he would invoke to the fullest extent possible to avoid being let go right before we become great. Hodgson and Ennis are flip of a coin for the 3-year outlook.
  15. I think he is very strong on the puck, and he certainly is developing the ability to control play. He'll never be a playmaker, but that's not what we need him to be. Also, I think he plays center for as long as Nolan is the coach.
  16. I down right disliked my second son for like 3-4 months. Now he's hands down my favorite.
  17. Totally agree on the elevators, but I'd prefer is lock them in place, so they have to wait for next pass. Also, related to the earlier conversation, there are some moments when I love things that the internet brings us: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dystopian_films#Post-apocalyptic
  18. I have to throw the Road in there somewhere, since it'll be a father-son endeavor. I'm not really a dog person, so I am Legend is out. Which Dredd? both?
  19. Honestly, if they don't improve the quality and life expectancy of these systems soon. I'm gonna tear mine out and look my kids right in the eyes and say, "sorry guys, they couldn't solve it." Better start a post-apocalyptic watchlist on netflix.
  20. I love how you use your resources on the inside to bring us the naked truth. Thank you.
  21. And not too many under 25s know seinfeld. My 6 year old knows the Simpsons, because they still exist. I still think seinfeld is greater, but the Simpsons might be the only show to come close.
  22. The Simpsons.
  23. Not every single character is a caricature. The relationship between Phil and Claire is a frighteningly accurate representation of my marriage. To the point where, when they win Emmy's, our friends and family text to congratulate us.
