  1. :clapping:
  2. Are the clipboards the same size? ????
  3. So all the balls he's been playing with are in that 1/8th inch zone where they don't overlap?
  4. Are you saying he's doing what is best for Doug at the expense of what is best for the organization, with no real authority currently in place to put a check on him? Sounds almost unethical. ;-)
  5. Absolutely. But the pre-snap read is very similar, even if the execution has to be faster after that. The football is the same size and weight as well.
  6. Doug thinks your rules are silly.
  7. Well, there goes the F'n Time Machine. Now we're totally screwed. (this is a save the season, save my job move, right?)
  8. Absolutely. No reason to start Orton. Manuel should start, and Kyle should be spending his time persuading is engineering friends from Purdue to build a time machine so we can go back and un-trade the 2015 pick.
  9. Enjoy then next 26 games. :P Two weeks ago I could not have written about his current his futility, but I've been predicting it for months. It's really not about what he has done or will do on the field as far as evaluating him. It's about his physical ability to throw the ball and his mental decisions in the game. His lack of urgency in improving himself, as indicated in his last two post game pressers, tells me further that not only does he not have the temperament to climb the giant hill before him, he lacks the competative instinct needed to succeed in this league. No one ever confused FSU with a basketball school.
  10. He's 24 1/2. Beyond his 4 years at a top tier college program, he's been through 2 summers, and 18 months of training, less injury time. He's played nearly a seasons worth of games. This year, he is being roundly out played by every starting quarterback in the league including: Derek Carr, Austin Davis, and the last three quarterbacks to graduate from Michigan State University. Could you please provide an estimate on when enough time will have elapsed to evaluate him? Not a "well not after 14 games" but rather "After ___ we will know what we have".
  11. How 'bout this: fighting with your extended family at a gathering with multiple people is different than beating your wife behind closed doors?
  12. Ozzie was probably the best fielding player at any position I have ever seen. just insane on the diamond.
  13. Couple of notes on Yount: He is the perfect example of why getting selected to play in the All-star game is a useless statistic. He played nearly half his games in the outfield, so, while he's not better than Cal, he's also not really competing for the top SS of All-Time title.
  14. Exactly, there is a legit argument that Wagner is #1 and Cal #2. There's a solid argument that the modern game is a lot more difficult for the SS so Cal would be #1 (which is why I conditioned it "last 100 years") There are zero arguments that Jeter is even in the top 5.
  15. Right next the the Field of Dreams would be perfect, except, mountains in Iowa?
  16. every argument that isn't "we need to get the right quarterback" is trivial nonsense until: A) we get the right quarterback, or B) they change the rules to de-emphasis the passing game EJ is becoming absolutely everything I thought he would become. If one of his apologists could kindly let me know when the appropriate number of games lost by his inability to read and throw at NFL accuracy have elapsed to assess his value, I would greatly appreciate it.
  17. Google "ISIS Oil Smuggling"
  18. Can we agree luck is pure random variation? If so, were you not arguing that luck was a major factor? If not, I apologize for not seeing that you had already agreed with me :)
  19. We essentially did that with al Qaeda. The result was ISIS. At the end of the day it doesn't matter how many people you kill, you can't bomb away an idea. Japan and Germany didn't stop acting as aggressor nations because we killed Hitler or Nuked two cities. We built them into economic powerhouses with a lot to lose. Middle class people in general don't want to piss off the entire world because their lives get significantly worse if it comes to war in their homeland. If the Sunni's in the region continue to have powerless, poverty stricken lives that are only marginally better than war, they won't resist when the next murderous nutjobs spinning tales of glory and dropping off food supplies bought with stolen oil money want to get belligerent with their neighbors and the West.
  20. There may be no way to get rid of Isis without killing ###### loads of innocent people that is fast enough to avoid Isis killing ###### loads of innocent people. How much further would the holocaust have gone if we were this concerned with innocent civilians in Berlin?
  21. How many innocent lives have been lost in the name of protecting innocent lives? Maybe Truman was right.
  22. I'll rename it the Mount Rushmore of Baseball, and I think most Americans will understand why there's nine guys up there.
  23. I'd put 9 on for baseball, and he gets the shortstop slot.
  24. Ok. Batting average. I see where your coming from. He's the best shortstop to play the game in the last 100 years. Rushmore.
  25. TBPhD, I'm shocked that you can look at the success over that sample size and conclude random variation. Shocked. I agree on the development part mentioned above as well, and that's even less luck.
