For being bigger and tougher. We certainly don't play like a team that's big and tough. The moves we've made mean jack unless we start using the talents. I expected the team to not score this year. But I also expected them to be much more physical and sound defensively. They need to pick one. Open it up and play run and gun. Or play the jersey/Florida trap type game and master it. We aren't good enough in transition to try a mix of these.

We looked good for about 35 minutes total all season. No desire, drive, heart, or grit at all this game. Idk what's going on with the lines right now. And the officials are letting Washington get away with quite a bit (not that our PP would cash in anyways). And how many times can we miss the net on point blank chances. As mentioned earlier, John Scott is out best player. Ehroff looks ok and so does sekera. Myers....... Blah.... It's such a bad feeling when we go down a goal early in the 2nd and just have that feeling that we won't win.

I'm just curious. I though the officiating has been atrocious for both teams the first part of the season. But on the second icing, it appeared to me when we cleared the puck that a cane tried stopping it at the blue line. Idk if it jumped his stick or if he even touched it but I though the icing should have been waved off there. Turns out it wasn't and bam 2-1 canes. Anyone else catch this or did I just see it wrong

Yes I agree. Gerbe isn't producing much out there and is just way undersized. He has heart, but sometimes that's not enough. Not to mention his team doesn't have his back when both players and referees rough him up. Grigs should be getting his ice time

We take one of our most offensive rookies in years out of a game in the 3rd that is 0-0 at the start. Then we have a slim lead.... No Grigs.... Then a tie again..... No Grigs......but hecht is out there and so is freakin gerbe, and Kaleta. He rode the pine in a game that was there for the taking.. And Ennis losing another d zone face off cost us the losing goal. If you wanna give the kid a fighting chance to you need to have some faith in him in those situations. I felt like Carolina was going to take that game pretty much from the start, would it have killed Lindy to actually make a bold decision that could help the team..... It's just frustrating, after seeing that, I want Grigs in the Q, maybe because when the sabres choke this year, there is a slight hope of Lindy not being here next year when he comes up for a full season. I know it's a pipe dream, but it's all I got..

I just can't believe what I saw the past 2 nights. Terrible defense. PP looks anemic, we're chasing guys all over the place. Trying to make the extra pass instead of shoot. Then tonight no Grigs in the 3rd, and with Scott and gerbe earlier?!?! come the freak on. No secondary scoring. Zero toughness again. Only the sabres can suck the life out of a supposed to be exciting end to the lockout.

Its a 70/30 mix between player and coach. I think Myers needs to use his brains more for sure. But idk what Lindy is telling the kid either. Aggressiveness has been an issue with the whole team for the past decade, then there's always the question of Myers actual stature, he is big. But not really stout, and he had a hard time putting on any weight this off season..... I think a 30 lbs heavier Myers is a more effective one.

6'8" and weighs like 180 lbs. He has no grit, it's not instilled in him and he's not gonna learn it, especially under ruff. I hate to say it, but but i think what u see is what u get with him at this point. He's tall and can pokecheck a lil but he's not an intimidator and what he did after the gerbe hit was unacceptable

We're so frustrated that were picking on Grammer more than usual tonight lol
