  1. Don't poke the baahr come quietly and leave quietly just don't poke the baahr Hopefully the baahr is hibernating tonight. And lucic would never fight Scott as amazing as it would be to see. Lastly, my faith is at near 0% for this team so I'm not optimistic that we win
  2. Its sad, we play one good period then just go back to sucking.... As soon as we're down a goal in the second I have zero faith that well come back. 1 freaking goal is all it takes for me to lose faith. That's not sabres hockey. The hardest working team in hockey has become the softest team in hockey.
  3. I appreciate your point of view; there is so much information available to the public that it is wise to do a little self learning; I hate the use of titles; I have some friends that need to drop their title in every situation and it honestly gets annoying. Going to school doesnt make you, its what you do with experiences and information gathered that defines you. I love when patients question me and challenge me, I feel it makes me an all around better provider, I will never have the attitude that I know it all, because no one knows it all. It appears that you have a decent grasp of medicine, thats why I asked. I also feel that there may be several on this board that would do a better job as GM than the current lineup The chances of making it even through high school and college are rare, however, every disease has its anomolies and exceptions. it is possible that the cardiac defects were mild and just not picked up on. but just like with diagnosing, when it comes to disease presentations, you think horses and not zebras. Its fun to discuss things like this on the board, (breaks up the monotony of ripping on ruff) but in all reality youre correct that the chances of a marfans pt making the NHL are slim to none
  4. Are you a doctor as well Mr. Drane, just curious You bring up valid arguments without a doubt, and I don't disagree that there is an outside chance of this syndrome. However I'd put the odds at 500:1 instead of 20:1 Like I said there's really a trio needed in the body systems, his injuries and joint weaknesses could point to something else. Take a look at klienfelters syndrome. Taller men that are more ectomorphs and have a harder time putting on muscle. Also a side note, younger males that are taller are prone to spontaneous pneumothorax, if this is missed and there was some parencymal damage to the lungs it could explain some fatigue. I'd love to run some blood tests on Tyler and see if something got by the staff. Like you said they put gerbe out there, and I know one of the docs who is an assistant doc for the sabres, an internal med guy and honestly I don't think he's very good.
  5. I'd take that bet. with Marfans there are certain criteria that need to Be met. Many diagnosed with this disease have major systems involved. Ocular, cardiac and musculoskeletal are all involved. He would have to have a 20% scoliosis, pectorum excavtum (sunken in breastbone) or a ratio of upper body from head to public symphasis 2:1 to his lower body. With cardiovascular, a mitral valve prolapse, aortic regurgitation would easily be heard on auscultation and an echo would show a dilated ascending aorta. Lastly, Tyler would have vision problems including a flat cornea or high intraocular pressure. Now if doctors missed these, I'd be afraid for the health of the entire team. I think Tyler suffers from pussitis, or an inflammation of his female genitalia, because that's what I see on the ice
  6. I don't recall, but we haven't had a shutout this year correct? If so, I predict a 3-0 shutout..... I'm just not sure what team ;) Lindy better not sit weber, that would be the dumbest move of the season. Um.. Go Sabres
  7. I like the thought of a more unsung hero, ala dustin brown
  8. I don't typically start threads ever, but I got to think I who What if you could have one player in the league to add to the sabres now. I'm not talking about a trade or who we'd drop or any of that. , but almost like this is a 1st draft pick for buffalo of all the players currently playing. I feel many would say Crosby, he's a producing center with a great track record. Maybe a younger goalie, or a shea weber type defenseman. Who could compliment this roster the best.... Just food for thought.
  9. If the bruins spent that much time in our end, we'd pull both goalies.
  10. What's going on in buffalo.... Changes?!?!??.... Pardy should come back up. Maybe after spending 45+ minutes in their own zone, rufff realized that somethings gotta give
  11. I'd be content with the sabres picking up at least 1 point tonight. They were running around all night last night and the fact Boston was off is only gonna help their cause. I think Boston wants a lil retribution from the last meeting as well. Our D cannot play as poorly again and expect anything less than a 3 goal loss. Paging everyone on the team not named Vanek!
  12. Only after Crosby's bad streak he turns it up and makes up for his down time. Stafford never turns it up. We'll be lucky to see 10 goals out of Stafford this year.
  13. Maybe the Isles will start Thomas in net tonight ;) As for momentum carrying over. I seem to recall this line of thought after the bruins win, then only to backfire extremely badly. So forgive me when I say I have little faith in momentum playing a role tonight. As for the game, I'd really like to see a little something offensively out of Stafford and grigorenko tonight. I know Grigs is a rookie, but he's supposed to be an elite offensive guy (eventually), I won't ride him too much considering his #of Nhl games played. But Stafford...... He gets no free pass, he's making huge money for next to nothing in production. Maybe the FES line can rekindle some of that late season magic from last season. All in all yes we are better on paper, however we seem to always struggle against the Isles and always get scorched by that speedy top line, I'd like to see another shootout. And I hope Boyes doesn't net one against us, that would be a giant kick in the sack.
  14. Well they had me captivated for about 40 min. I guess that's better than usual
  15. That's what u do on a 2 man advantage.... Even when we play good were still frustrating
