    Coming from a medical perspective, I've seen bad injuries that didn't follow terrible trauma. I wasn't sold on it being a severe injury, but I certainly didn't rule it out. With that said, a big part of me was thinking, alright, their best D man is out now and we have 3 minutes to score. Then we failed to posses the puck at all and the night was ruined.

    Well, if there is a micro fracture it can be mild, but if not immobilized properly it can become a neurosurgical emergency. I've seen at least a dozen broken necks in the ER that presented with just neck pain after mild trauma, a few of those cases had to be transferred for surgery. He hit at a pretty high speed, could be just a super bad jam and strain, but no way he should be moving until a CT shows no break

    The Atlas and axis (C-1,C-2) are much smaller and weaker than the lumbar vertebrae, because of the way his head was bent and the blow to the head, I wouldn't be surprised if there is a mini fracture there. Hopefully just bad whiplash, Google Jefferson fracture and hangman fracture and you'll see

    It looked like a buttocks blow to the top of the head, kinda in the type of motion where the C1-C2 vertebrae are the weakest. The head did whip back a little bit, he'll go right to a CT scanner. Sometimes you can get a burst fracture of the top 2 vertebrae, I've seen it happen to patients who took a lot less impact.

    I thought we played a good game, I'm not really sure I'm saying this.... But the 23-9-15 line is looking good and dangerous. First goal was a soft flukey goal. If we had upgraded D we would be fighting for a playoff spot I think, even with the lack of scoring, maybe next year we inch all the closer. I love and hate Kane at the same time, hes feisty and willing to drop the gloves, gets open.... And then just chokes. Carrots or other vegetables should never be In a cake, simply disgusting Whipped frosting is the way to go, I can go to town on a Tops 1/4 sheet cake with whipped icing and gel writing, doesn't even matter what is says or if it's a ninja turtle cake on a random Wednesday.     I'm not saying it's the best donut in the world, but I did eat 6 fresh hot ones and it made my day. Every time I visit my family I discover something new, also found an awesome NY bagel place just outside of wake forest

    I went to this place in Raleigh last month, called duck donuts..... Its hard to explain, but there was a line out the door, they are basically like donuts made from the angles who also make cake... You order with any combo of icing and toppings. Maple and coconut was delicious.... I need to franchise one of these places

    I'm trying to think of games played and going back old school, Crosby and ovechkin have good points but haven't played long enough... I'd give the edge to the Russian. Shane Doan has been around for a while Patrick Elias too, but I don't know if he was a huge scorer, the sedan twins are getting up there in age, one is better than the other and I don't know which one. Def no one on the Sabres :)
