We needed a splash like this in the offseason. I feel like it is REALLY needed now. A shake up would be healthy, and there is nothing like sending a message to tue team that we are going for it. The problem is, it’s too late for the playoffs this season.

I went with a model 93 because I am a lefty, and not many lefty rimfire bolt actions out there. I like it. Alot. I did change the stock though. The plastic stock that comes with the gun felt very hollow and flexible. I bought a stock from Boyds to replace it. It required a small amount of dremel work in the inletting to get it fit right. Maybe 15 minutes and a careful hand. But it looks and feels great. Those VMax can be pretty destructive. Wouldn’t that tear up too much meat on a ruffed grouse?

The odds makers have to be scared now.

I have never been so unsure of what needs to happen to turn this team around. In years past you could point to a defensive center, or a #2 PP QB, or a #2 goalie. This team is such an enigma, that I am unsure of what the real need is.

Game against Eichel and the game day thread is 3 pages well into the evening. This fanbase is so done with this *****.

Hell of a dilemma. I’m not interested a long term deal for anyone until this ship gets righted. Glad I’m not responsible to figure this ***** out.

Welcome to my world. Anyone who is active on this site still cares. I’m still a fan. What I am not is, I am not someone who prioritizes watching the games. I see them when they are convenient to do so, and I stop watching at the first indication that I won’t be entertained. I said it somewhere else, maybe last week. During Thanksgiving the talk turned to the Sabres and at one point my son observed, “you are more interested in the off ice stuff than the on ice stuff”. And he’s 100% correct. I’m still very much a fan. I still very much pay attention to what is happening. But I stopped being interested in the games themselves shortly after Pegula made the decision that entertaining me was not a priority. And it’s not that the team is bad. It is that the team is not entertaining. Why did we all love the Nolan era? The teams mostly sucked. But they entertained as best they could and we all thought they were the most lovable . And we watched. ***** you Terry Pegula, and ***** you to the tank supporters.

You all gotta live in farm country for awhile. Loose cows, loose sheep, loose pigs. Loose women. We had a show bull escape the county fair and wander the neighborhoods for a few days. Cagey bugger was surprisingly good at evasion.

@Doohickie I am not sure why the eyeroll. I’ve been consistent about this all along. I don’t trust what a non playoff team shows me. We’ve seen players throughout the rebuilds that teased more because they were put in situations that better players normally see, but weren’t really at that better player level. Ive been preaching “show me” since 2010. This isn’t any different.

I don’t know how Sabres fans can be feeling comfortable with our center spine. Until this group shows they are a good center spine on a playoff team, I am always going to have concerns regarding them. We ain’t there. Same with the rest of the positions as well.

This wasn’t a cycle through the callups callup. This was replacing a need. They had 3 big bodied 2 way forwards go down and needed a big bodied 2 way forward to come up. Big Murr is the best qualified to fill that role. And Robinson made him superfluous now that he’s been shown to be effective.

Nope. We are in heroic run to 9th territory. Too many games in hand by teams near us, and too many teams to leapfrog.

They need to do this the next 3 games in a row.

Clearly we need to sign this kid to a long term deal.

I mentioned this video like 2 pages ago. We are always so quick to make assumptions and judgements, when everyone has ***** in their life affecting their decisions, work, performance, etc.
