Running the goalie situation back is inherently risky. Given the state of this franchise, I think it is resources well spent to de-risk it.

This part wasnt tactically played well. “How many proven NHL backups will be interested in coming here knowing what the Sabres feel about Levi?” We had an unproven guy that was publicly given the keys to the team, and one of the challenges became, noone will sign on with him here. The GM flat out played the goalie situation poorly.

The forecast discussion page on the NWS site is literally just that, a discussion. Sometimes the forecasters contradict each other based on their reading of the model ouputs. There was a meteorologist that retired last year, I think, that was particularly open in his discussions. That is a nerd page.

It’s a problem of Buffalo’s creation. I think getting goalie depth right is a basic GM responsibility. He’s on his third swing at it now. VSTOL performance is required now. The long runway is long gone.

Noone thought Gretzky’s records could be broken. I wanna see this one broken. There is little that is more entertaining generally than a good record chase. I’m not sure Ovie has 2 more good seasons in him to get it done. His skating is rapidly leaving him. But I’ll watch and hope just for the entertainment value. Regarding the next player to break it, don’t underestimate Matthews. That guy is a goal scoring machine. If he keeps it up into his mid 30s he’ll be right there.

Sabres had same lottery chances as P burgh that year. I think there may have been a 3rd team as well, but not sure.
