  1. Shoring up 4d moves 5, 6, and 7 down a spot, so shoring up Bryson may occur as a natural result of upgrading Joki.
  2. Nice to see that the team gave Anderson a proper send off, both game result and the photo op. Now to feed KO for a hattie in the finale.
  3. Yeah, I am less concer About system thay I was 2 months ago. The team definitely changed how they play down the stretch, and it gives me confidence that situationally we will do that. I think if we shore up #4 and maybe 6D we’ll be good if the goaltending holds up.
  4. I’m betting he didn’t even break even with that clothing line.
  5. Oh man, I forgot all about Lalime. I think if Levi had an established NHL history you could make a case for riding him like a mule and who gives a ***** about the backup, but thats a pretty risky play if the goal is playoffs, especially with a Calder candidate as your starter. I still think KA will run with the hydra we have currently.
  6. For me? No. I need to see how he fairs through the grind of a season. I need to see how he adjusts as players get film on him. I need to see if he’s durable with NHL contact and shots. I think you have to plan for him to be a 30-40 game goalie until his in season performance over a substantial number of games shows otherwise.
  7. Outside, unbiased analysis is always good. Good to hear that outsiders are bullish on what is building. Now make it happen.
  8. It means there is one more post in Sabrespace that keeps Eleven up at night wondering.
  9. We have many more bullets than Savoie and Kulich. There are many more potential improvements than Chychrun. There is no need to focus on the ends. There is a huge continuum between Stillman and Chychrun, and Savoie and our cap space. Again, my only point is, opportunity lost for a team that was better than we realized. And for those that say this team performed to expectations and not over them, how many of you voted knocking on the door of the playoffs without the condition of at least average goaltending? I’m betting the number quite small. This team was good enough to carry ***** goaltending to the cusp. This was a better than expected team. Thats alright. They have been entertaining for at least 3/4 of the games played. Progress. Congrats KA for that. But don’t let the next opportunity go by without support. Please.
  10. The team posts some (maybe all?) on youtube.
  11. Forget it. He’s rolling.
  12. Ive actively avoided conversation with you for quite a long time. Thank you for returning the favor. That’s a hell of a block if your still sending reactions! 😀
  13. I didn’t realize that a list of trades that happened were the only available players and deals during those moments in time and that all other possibilities were futile discussions. And a discussion of actual players and potential deals inevitably leads to debate on the actual deals, which is not the point of the conversation at all. If you don’t like the discourse, ignore it or take one of your tantrum breaks.
  14. Lazy. I don’t have the information, contacts, scouting reports needed to have credible ideas of what can and cannot be done. I’m also not tasked with building a winning team. You don’t have to have a solution as a fan to have an expectation.
  15. I would certainly hope any GM would recognize what they have on ice and support it when the performance justifies it.
  16. Ypu missed the point maybe? When it became apparent mid season that this team was ready, a slight change of course was the reaction we were looking for. That’s not reacting to hindsight, it is reacting to the moment.
  17. My public message is that noone should feel comfortable
  18. I would sit down with KA, tell him that not making the playoffs next season and several seasons after is unacceptable, and unshackle him to do what he thinks best to make that happen. And give him a public vote of confidence.
  19. It was fun while it lasted. Mostly. I feel kinda bad for Okposo. I really wanted to see the team get into the show for him. The opportunity was there.
  20. I don’t understand why this concept is difficult to grasp.
  21. Really the issue with this line of thinking is that if you wait until you can beat whoever the 1 seed is, you are continually waiting another season. Even a 4 game sweep is a valuable learning experience for this team. Learning playoff hockey at 22 makes them so much more prepared to advance at 23. And 24. In regards to moving top picks and prospects, we have a huge supply of both. We also had very valuable cap space to weaponize. Next season we are going to be hard pressed to find room for two rookies AND fill holes in the type of player we currently lack (holes we could have solidly identified in a playoff series by the way). The season after that is probably more of the same. We are literally splitting at the seams with solid prospects. Certainly some combination of prospect, pick, cap space was usable to get gains now without sacrificing our ability to be successful 3 seasons down the road. Noone said over pay. Noone wants to do it at the expense of the future. Why is nuance so difficult?
