They are easing him in game speed wise, he may not play until next week. -

"Big" as in physically large -

Guhle with 3pts on the 3 goals I doubt we trade probably the only "big" player we have coming up in the system. Bailey/Baptiste would be more likely since they are very similar. -
Training camp questions #8: what will Jason Pominville bring?
thewookie1 replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
I think this year Pommers will be very effective, he'll be energized to play here again. I still think though he'll top out at about 45 pts this year. Next year is more where I'd worry -
The thing I disagree with is their obsession with Toronto racking up points while the Sabres only have Eichel, Okposo and O'Reilly(barely) over 50 points. They seem to have this fervent belief that Matthews is better and every bloody stat projector tends to play that way. Matthews being just better than Eichel. Just compare this: Toronto: Matthews 73pts in 80g Nylander 67pts in 80g Marner 59pts in 78g Kadri 54pts in 78g Van Riemsdyk 50pts in 76g Buffalo: Eichel 72pts in 78g O'Reilly 56pts in 76g Okposo 52pts in 68g Not only do they give Toronto the benefit of the doubt they will have freakish health two years in a row but that Okposo will miss 14 games.

Supposedly May commutes to Buffalo for the games, he lives in California?

https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/450353 I'd like Vanek back, I want to win now and I don't feel like hoping a youngster comes up huge.

Jack Eichel Contract Extension: Talks Occuring
thewookie1 replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
8xsomewhere between 9.5 and 10.5 -
The nice thing is, if the NHL doesn't go and Middlestadt plays great at the WJC, he might get a look.
-
I'd offer him a PTO if it gets that far, let him compete against the young wingers
-
I think he buys McCabe a dinner and gets 29 back, McCabe takes 19, and Scandella takes 6
-
So GMTM may have truly coup the Sabres after being hired and the Pegulas chose to just let him. Would explain TP's comments on wanting to be more hands on. I will say though that I was all for the tank to get McDavid but this certainly sullied my opinion on GMTM as a manager

I don't think Pasternak is better than Eichel and Malkin

Jack Eichel Contract Extension: Talks Occuring
thewookie1 replied to WildCard's topic in The Aud Club
According to My NHL Rumors I think Bucky needs to take a hike -
Atlantic 1. Tampa Bay (Bounce back) 2. Ottawa (Continued Karlsson) 3. Buffalo (Eichel is Great!) 4. Toronto [WC2] (Injuries catch up to them after last year's incredible luck) 5. Boston (Eliminated by Toronto on the last day) 6. Montreal (Drouin folds under the media after having 3 games without a point) 7. Florida (Jagrless and Ekblad-less) 8. Detroit (Larkin + Ye ole Zetterburg) Metro 1. Pittsburgh (Crosby + Malkin = Juggernaut) 2. Washington (Cracks are showing) 3. Columbus (Solid year again) 4. NYI [WC1] (Tavares and company click) 5. Carolina (Great Defense, underwhelming offensive firepower) 6. Philly (Close but no cigar) 7. NYR (Injuries and age really starts to show) 8. New Jersey (Hey maybe this time you might actually deserve a Top 3 pick) Central 1. Blackhawks (Depth is frightening though) 2. Predators (Defense is good, scary good) 3. Stars (Upgrades everywhere) 4. Wild [WC1] (Solid season) 5. Jets (Looking better but something seems to hold them back) 6. Blues (Fell off a cliff after Allen sustains a groin injury) 7. Avalanche (Embarrassment to hockey, oh and Duchene is still there) Pacific 1. Ducks (Holding on for dear life) 2. Oilers (Biting at their heels) 3. Flames (Burning the midnight oil) 4. Sharks [WC2] (Old but still kicking) 5. Coyotes (Better) 6. Kings (Scoring, what is this you speak of?) 7. Golden Knights (We are the Knights that say Ne!) 8. Canucks (We are the whales that have no idea what we are doing) East Atlantic 1. TB 2. OTT 3. BUF Metro 1. PIT 2. WSH 3. CLB Wild Card 1. NYI 2. TOR West Pacific 1. ANA 2. EDM 3. CGY Central 1. CHI 2. NSH 3. DAL Wild Card 1. MIN 2. SJS Playoffs Round 1: NYI vs TB in 7 (Close series) BUF vs OTT in 6 (We are unnaturally good against them) TOR vs PIT in 5 (Matthews shows up, his team forgets to come with him) WSH vs CLB in 6 (WSH likes the 2nd Round) SJS vs ANA in 4 (it just wasn't fair) EDM vs CGY in 7 (Epic series, McDavid is good) CHI vs MIN in 7 (Boudreau can't win) DAL vs NSH in 6 (See saw breaks in NSH's favor) Round 2: NYI vs BUF in 7 (Eichel > Tavares is proven) WSH vs PIT in 5 (Why does Washington try anyway.....) ANA vs EDM in 6 (Kesler likes laying on Talbot still) CHI vs NSH in 7 (Kane is heartbroken) Round 3: BUF vs PIT in 6 (Buffalo bloodies the Pens but loses in OT) ANA vs NSH in 7 (NSH wants a rematch and refuses to take no for an answer) Finals: PIT vs NSH in 7 (NSH wins their 1st Stanley Cup)

That's good news for us since that means Eichel can't ask for 13mil at least. Hopefully we can get him at 10.5mil tied with Kane, Toews, and later Price
-
I like that thought, that Pommers will want to take us places
-
To Vegas then to Buffalo?
-
Duchene not involved
-
Vanek still knows how to score, and has shown he can still pitch in with faster players so I'd be very interested in his return. 1 year, 2.6mil like his last contract. Let the guy just get to the front of the net and tip and deflect pucks in. Plus we'd get the around the world back in the shoot outs

I'm hoping more the middle ground between Murray and Darcy. Not throwing assets around like pennies but not saving pennies in the hope one is worth more in 40 years
