  1. I'd love Stastny but I doubt he'd come here. If Tampa gets swept I could see Callahan preparing to head to Buffalo almost immediately after. As in agent talks and such. Orpik I think will be a Sabres player before he retires, rather or not he comes here this offseason or later is unknown. At very least if Orpik comes to Buffalo, we could trade Erhroff since we'd have the vet D-Man we need. Resign Ott, he'd be a very useful player and leader for the rest of the rebuild and future playoffs. Maybe grab Morrow too. Resign Tallinder, he's servicable Go after Moulson, maybe get him to return too, though I can only see that happening if Vanek goes to the Wild and Gaborik is signed by LA. Wishful Lines for 2014-2015 Moulson-Ennis-Stafford Girgensons-Hodgson-Callahan (You'd have to have one of the wingers cover the Center in the D-Zone) Morrow-Ott-Flynn Kaleta-Foligno-Michell Konopka? Myers-Pysyk Orpik-Risto Tallinder-Weber Ruhwedal? McBain? I doubt they'd be good enough to wow anyone, but I'd doubt we be in last by much and we'd certainly have entertainment.
  2. 24 has always been my ideal number since its my birthday Wore 12 and 13 a few times in baseball Most years I was just given a number between 1 and 9 though so anything it that range I've forgotten at this point.
  3. WTF kind of schedule is that...... Friday, Saturday then wait until the following Thursday? Are the AHL schedule people drunk or something?
  4. Seabrook is at fault, but his hit was not intended for the head, Backes was looking down. Additionally he didn't leave his feat or lead with his elbow. However he did hit him in the head and he's ever bee suspended so I'd say a 1 game suspension is all he gets.
  5. As long as they aren't driven into the boards they'll likely let it go. Same goes for most borderline pentalies, if it wasn't overly blatant they'll look away
  6. I actually would take that as not they won't be trying to sign players; but rather a shot at the NHL for disallowing the use of private jets to court free agents. Remember, we did that in convincing Regehr to waive his NTC and Erhroff. Then they banned the usage of private jets for free agent courting. Just like how they now limited the prospect visits; anytime Pegula starts throwing his money at things to get an advantage, they handicap him.
  7. Eerie, I mentioned something of that nature back in January. Bum bum bum
  8. 1st Round Winners Colorado Chicago Anaheim LAK Boston Montreal Pittsburgh Rangers Round 2 Winners Chicago LAK Boston Pittsburgh Round 3 Winners Chicago Boston Winner Chicago So I pretty much feel this year's playoffs will end up very similair to last year.
  9. - Leino bought out - Buffalo drafts Reinhart - Ott resigns with Buffalo - Morrow joins the Sabres - Moulson and Callahan offered contracts, 1 signs - Tallinder is the only D UFA/RFA to rejoin the Sabres - McBain's rights are dealt in a bigger trade - Girgs will gain an A - Ott gets the C back - Isles defer - Blues are eliminated in the 1st round by Chicago - Myers, Ennis, and Foligno stay - Ennis/Hodgson have trade rumors circulate but nothing happens Next Year -Briere signs a 1/2 year contract then retires a Sabre
  10. Sign Callahan, Ott, and Moulson if at all possible. Resign Tallinder, Ennis, etc. Trade McBain and Ill survive one more tank year.
  11. If I had to guess, it was the fact they went out west for 3 road games, then back east for a road game, then south, and then home. If anything I think TM would of felt switching the Nashville and Montréal games would of made more sense. Due to that ordering it made flight time far more than should of been needed.
  12. Zadorov has 3-2-5 in the 3 gms he's played thus far in the OHL playoffs. Keep in mind he played 20 games in last year's playoffs and racked up only 2-4-6.........
  13. No, however if we loaded with injuries to the offense I might dress 7 D and have him play some 4th line minutes.
  14. I highly doubt that. No owner in his right mind would buy them with the intention of moving the team ASAP due to the 400m penalty. They may buy them with future intentions but not immediately RIP Mr. Wilson, we'll miss you
  15. I would say that Hodgson is very likely to be a solid #2 center who will facilitate and in tandem improve his wingers' output. Kassian on the other hand has the potential to be a 1st line winger but his work ethic is questionable at best. Hodgson is a smaller risk while Kassian could become a larger reward. My question would be ...... How would Kassian do under Nolan's system which contradicts his work but compliments his skills
  16. What would you guys do if during the offseason Callahan, Ott, and Moulson all want to play for the Sabres?
  17. I'd rather keep Myers than trade him and draft Ekblad. I'd rather deal with the player we know than a player we don't. However if Edm offered us their 1st in 2014 and 2015 I might be tempted. I don't get this obsession with trading Myers, I'd like us to have some competent players on our team next year..... I don't want us to be so bad that we break records.
  18. I agree with all of this, give Scott some non-player job. He may be unskilled but he truly does give his all and has a sense of humor; he's probably a real nice guy.
  19. It seems to be always the case that Buffalo teams end up on the bad side of league changes. I can see it now..... Sabres end in 30th and then pick 4th or 5th forcing us to endure more miserable seasons. Give us McDavid and I'm positive we make the playoffs in 2016 or 2017
  20. If we have the #1 and lets say #3 or 4 this year, would you think about taking Ekblad #1 to force Edm to trade? Seeing as Bennett, Reinhardt, or Draistl will still be around at #4 regardless.
  21. For a change I fully want Buffalo to win. We have an 8pt lead to use and knocking the Isles further down would assist the tank. Beat the Isles both times, lose to Edm, Calgary, and Florida(do we play them anymore) If we accomplish that we may be able force NYI to join us in the bottom two.
  22. Well his uncle has been here forever so he could vouch for the city, as for the Sabres....... we are the opposite of the Islanders front office wise. Other than that we'd have to hope he'd like our prospect pool more than the Islanders.
