  1. Lol good one. If he demands to leave they will. My idea would be Ennis, the 2014 1st rounder we have, we return their pick, Ruhwedal, and Armia. I would deny them any of our big Defence prospects and Girgs. I'd offer them Grigs in place of Armia, Ennis or a 1st. Since this scenario has Tavares wanting out, this assists us by forcing the price down some. Plus with Garth Snow, if we give him shiny things he may become dazed. If St. Louis can fetch a 1, Callahan, and a conditional 2nd I would assume Tavares would at very least require 2 high 1sts a roster player or two, and a couple prospects.
  2. What do you guys think he thinking about in regards to the chaos on his team?
  3. Wouldn't mind this at all. Wouldn't mind ozalins for a year either if he were willing to come out of retirement.
  4. Any updates on Girgs' injury? We've gotten updates on Stewart and Mitchell but nothing on Girgensons
  5. Players who may be interested: (reasons) Ott (location, experience and family) Moulson (expeience, money, terms of contract would likely be the biggest point) Callahan (hometown team and money) Jagr (money and could be deadline bait again) Whitney (money) many other older players looking for a job and a cash out
  6. I almost wonder if they took him for a contract dump, but also to be a vet D-man for the Amerks playoff push thus why they are so angry with him
  7. Regardless of intention, they injured our best player so we should sick Scott on their top D-men! I'm haddit with injuries, we need to inflict a few for a change.
  8. Actually I never meant what would you want them to do or if you wanted to end the tank, but rather what would have to happen that you'd give up wishing for the tank. Rob, answered to what I was trying to ask; what would the Sabres have to accomplish this offseason plus next season to get you to abandon tanking for McDavid. AS for the Islanders deferring if in the Top 3, who knows at this point....
  9. As the title says..... I'm thinking along the lines of, what I we end up with the 2 of the top 3 picks this year and thus we look far better next year. More so..... what if we get the top 2 picks, do we try, do you think we could succeed at, to strong arming Edm into giving us their 2015 1st and their 3rd overall in 2014 to get Ekblad?
  10. Very interesting how in 2 nights we've seen the best entertainment in the end to end action in Tampa to a hideous mess of a game we have tonight
  11. Nice, so we got to watch a good game, and didn't lose any ground in a sense. Any word on how bad Girgs' injury is?
  12. While I wouldn't of whined about him using #30; it was honorable of him to change his number. Maybe it'll be lucky since Miller was forced to switch his number due to Hasek's feats
  13. I want them to win the lottery just so we can watch the Islanders squirm
  14. I'd go after Ott, Morrow, and Jagr. Moulson if he's willing and resign Tallinder. Aside from Ott & Moulson they are past their prime and experienced players with trade value at the deadline. If you keep Erhroff, give Sulzer another year. Find a Rivet sort of guy to give money to and give depth/experience to the youngsters. I'd then give Zadorov and Risto short NHL stints for experience(5 games each) I'd keep D'agstini and Ellis. Field the team with old guys and a spattering of "NHLers" and young guys.
  15. I can see 1 scenario with this occurring; risto and Zadorov come up and along with Myers light it up. Armia and Grigs become such an amazing tandem in Rochester and it follows in Buffalo. Enroth and Neuvirth pull off what Crawford/Emery did last year and Stafford scores 30. Hodgson and Ennis have great years, Girgs becomes a consistent scorer and Ott and or Moulson resigns.
  16. I love this guy's way of communicating with the press, straightforward with good honest answers. I hope to see his lighter-side come out like it did more in the post-deadline conference. Best of all he shows passion, something DR rarely if ever showed. If Lafontaine and Murray had any problems, it would of have to of been on the fact they are both very passionate for what they feel is right.
  17. I loved that quote. I think he has the potential to be a solid 2nd line winger in the right situation, as Murray said, he's a complementary piece. I almost imagine him being sort of a skilled player who's production relies on that of other players. He couldn't lead us to a Cup, but could assist a team in getting there. I'm not sure where he'll go after this season, if he hits it off with Ennis or Hodgson he'd likely be signed at least for a couple years. If not, who knows. As for your estimation, I'd mostly agree. On his own he's nothing more than energy guy on the 3rd line; however with the right line mates, he could be a solid 2nd liner as his time in Tampa Bay showed.
  18. 2 2nds aren't amazing but they are far better off with Moulson than what Snow got for Vanek. Vanek's trade was a joke lol. So we ended up trading Vanek for: a conditional 2014 1st round draft pick, a 2015 2nd round draft pick, 4 months of Moulson, 2nd rounder in 2014, and 2nd in 2016
  19. I like this for 2 reasons No reason not to give him a chance..... Plus, that may mean a Sabre trade is imminent
  20. What is happening, do they not know the deadline is tomarow at 3?
