  1. I understand what you're saying but is Johansson a #1 elite center? If he is, then maybe he's worth it. But I'd rather not be killing the the tank to get another elite #2 center. Zadorov won't effect the tank and I'm not sold on trading 3 prospects with high skill for 1
  2. Zadorov should be untouchable at least until what he does in a stretch of games. Trading him now would be incompetent seeing as he could be an elite D-man and he's already shown promise.
  3. I wonder if Nashville would be interested in Hodgson and/or Stafford, both can score and Nashville certainly lacks that ability. I want their 1st rounder. Not a bad idea, though we'dneed to move a RWer then.
  4. What about Myers, Stafford/Stewart, and Armia for Mantha, 2015 1st, a D-Man (Kindl?), and Sheahan
  5. Hold your position GMTM! We'll send you supplies!
  6. One thing I certainly like about the trade is that if you look him up on youtube you can find him literally playing goalie during practices and making goal saving blocks during games. While it may not be vital this year, in 2 or 3 years this may be a steal.
  7. :worthy: :worthy: :worthy: Great job Tell him to come work at the Harbor Center or something, he may have been made of glass but he was damn good when he held up
  8. I'm completely against tanking for 5 years, 2 is my max.
  9. I want a pick between 1-3 or the team to make it to the playoffs with Reinhart, Girgs, and the younglings being the primary factor for achieving it. No interest in picks 4-14 for us unless the NYI/STL bomb into the top 3.
  10. That's odd if his low end is himself, then wouldn't he always be at his low? He may become something akin to Moulson, late bloomer, but I'd have to agree with you.
  11. Let's break down the likelihood "if Reinhart is the next Adam Oates" = unlikely but technically possible/ though it being a 18 yr old rookie won't help. "Hodgson blossoms into Mark Recchi on the wing" = I doubt that, I think pigs may fly first. Hodgson may become a great winger, but definitely nowhere near Recchi "all the young D immediately become difference makers" = all of the doubtful, one of them however is sorta likely however that would vary by opinion of what equals difference maker "Stafford performs big in yet another contract year" = likely, of all of these this one isn't farfetched "Ennis is Briere" = unlikely but I guess in theory it would be possible "Chris Stewart actually plays 70+ games" = 60+ games would be pretty likely, 70+ unlikely "Enroth becoming Hasek" = Hodgson has a better chance of becoming Zedeno Chara's size overnight
  12. How about Rozsival or Oduya and Chi's 1st rounder for a throwaway player and pick. If Darcy wants some of his guys back, Stafford and Hodgson for Phx's 1st
  13. To be honest the only way I see Reinhart making the team is if he has an unreal 9 games as in over 1 ppg
  14. July 1st Darcy: searches for his phone, dreading an interview, wondering what layers will fall through the cracks, talks with a couple AHL players' agents, signs AHLer, tells media its hard to convince players to come to Buffalo, takes a nap at 5pm, wakes up again to check on FA list, tells wife how hard it is to get players to Buffalo, eats, goes to bed Murray: takes his phone out from under his pillow, feeds pet tigers, gives wife grocery list with a scouting report on each item listed, goes to the arena, talks with agents, trades for a guy, talks with more agents, signs a handful of quality players in 2 hrs, addresses the media, takes power nap on the trainer's table, talks to more agents and the pizza delivery boy, trades two hockey pucks and a Sabres flag for two sheet pizzas, talks to a few more agents, heads home, inspects wife's pick ups, eats, goes to bed with his trade notepad beside his bed Advantage: Murray
  15. I still hope we sign Ott too, not sure where to put him; but he's just fun to watch.
  16. Let's go RJ! dun dun dun dun dun Let's go RJ!
  17. He's wrong but right simultaneously; none of the signings in of themselves were surprising but the quantity and speed he got them done in certainly was a holy &&&& experience
  18. I like this signing a lot, unlike the Leino contract; Moulson has been a consistent performer. I think Matty Moulson could be a very effective player for at least 4 of those 5 years. Plus he's a quality locker room guy.
  19. I think his base rebuild is done by the end of the 2015 draft, but he intends to continue to draft quality players for 3 to 4 years. He doesn't seem to be all that saddened by the draft changes in 2016 thus I'd assume he doesn't intend to be near the very bottom.
  20. Murray: Get the damn photo done with, I have UFAs' agents to talk with! Reinhart: I'm actually in the NHL! His mind is probably still trying to get that through. The jersey: You forgot the ' for the '14
  21. Another reason to want Moulson back. A common trait between Moulson, Gionta, and Ott would have to be their work ethic and the fact they show up every night. Add Brooks Orpik who's been voted Player's Player Award in Pittsburgh multiple times and we've got ourselves a solid base to work from. With the core being presently built, a solid base is what these youngsters need.
  22. Ott, Moulson, Gionta, Orpik, acquire Scuderi in cap dump. That gives us fewer holes and a strong vet leader core.
  23. I doubt he trades Zadorov since he fits Murray's type of player to a T. Grigs sink or swim may be on the block but I doubt he'll just jettison him.
  24. Just to say, I keep thinking this topic is called "Batman is a disgrace to the league...."
