Myers wasn't great tonight but I'm still unwilling to trade him to Detroit for an unproven prospect. For both that he may wake up in Detroit and haunt us for years and or Larkin is a bust.

Myers, Stafford/Stewart, a 3rd rounder and Hodgson for Eberle and Nurse and their 2nd rounder It would sorta be Myers for Eberle in terms of high end youngster for high end youngster, Nurse would fill the loss on D to our depth and Hodgson and Stafford cover any offsetting problems.

I think one of the problems is we didn't get the Ted Nolan of 97' we all hoped for, the guy who looked all fired up like Patrick Roy does for Colorado. Instead we got a guy whom is trying to over compensate for his past by being against fighters and showing little emotion on the bench. Much like this team does, he seems more sedated than we expected; and his style seems to be sedated as well. Players are walking through walls, not running through them so to speak. If the Sabres played like they did against Chicago in the 2nd period all 60 mins, we'd be entertained and the Sabres may actually look decent. (They were finishing their checks, pressuring Chicago, and playing hard shift to shift) They won't be a good team due to their lack of possession skills but at least they need to make the other team pa to have theirs. I think TN will get pass this year and next year he'll begin his judgment period.

I would fervently disagree, trading to a rival only works if the player is a rental piece or they are grossly overpaying for a short term low-risk asset. For example I would refuse to trade Myers to Boston or Detroit unless we are receiving equal or more potential in return. For example if its Myers for Nyquist straight up, that's not horrid since both are young, both have skill, and both have the potential to do great for their new teams. Myers for those 3 prospects may again be an alright swap due to it also being a non divisional team. Stewart to Boston would only work for me if we are getting more than ample in return. For example in hypothetical, I'd be willing to trade Stewart to Chicago for a 2nd and 4th but require Boston to likely give me a 1st or a pair of 2nds. Especially at this point of the season where if he lights it up which he does seem to fit the Bruins organizational style, I don't want to have to watch him haunt us for years to come. You two may be all for no rivalry trade constraints but at this point of the season it would only hurt moral further. Oh and here's a random trade proposal, Stewart, STL's 1st & Stafford for Teddy Purcell and their 1st rounder. I doubt they'd take it, but I'd certainly make the offer and get Dreger to report on it if not only to piss off Oilers fans who want to win now more.

I'd go to Gary Bettman, you needs to work out something with the CHL because if not we may be forced to let one of our high end prospects play in the competition's league. All we need is a loophole that would allow us to send Zadorov to the AHL on a year long training regiment or something.
