  1. Cows say moo Chickens say bach bach We say Ralph Kru We shall make it to 1000
  2. For all we know Krueger asked the players about what they liked and felt they were good at and he just found a way to channel that into a game plan. I'd be surprised if he didn't ask Miller about Vegas's strategies as well. Bylsma was over reliant on stretch passes Housley had a strange obsession with only man to man defense RK seems to feel, why force players who can't stretch pass to stretch pass when they play better with a different approach. Do what you are good at, do your part to further the team as a whole and play hard every shift. I see his strategy being much like Vegas because like them, we have had no real identity for years and have effectively been trying to stuff our team's assortment of players into a specific type of bucket. Vegas, had players who had played in all different systems thus decided the best approach was to simply find commonalities all the players could do, play hard and fast. Over time, the core of players will find a certain niche they like and slowly the team will work to that over a few years as it sheds those who don't fit and tweak existing players.
  3. Craziest thing is that it, in theory, would be possible. One of his favorite players was Danny Briere and in 2007, when he was 10, Briere was a Sabre for 06-07.
  4. That's it, that's what it reminded me of a lot. They would just keep pressuring the other team and eventually mistakes would be made that helped them score. Aside that 9-2 win last year, this was probably one of a handful of 60 min efforts I've seen in the past 5 years. When Malkin scored they didn't stop and in the 3rd, while more defensively minded, they kept the forecheck going. They only turtled in a few short stints. Wooohooo
  5. We also we extremely unlucky in terms of our early pseudo-tank years. If we fell while still having Vanek or Pommers we’d be better off now as we’d of had a few old guard to bring the new guys in. Murray/Regier gutted us to the bone and left no rock unturned. One thing Chicago, Toronto, and Pittsburgh had were a handful of old players who had played in the franchise in and through the tank. They were the rope bridge that connected past teams with the present incarnation. We had absolutely nothing in terms of long term players who we kept around. So we swung across the “chasm” but forgot to tie the other side of the bridge. Now we are stuck as this amorphous franchise with no identity. I do think Pommers returning helped. Hopefully we will regain an identity
  6. In this case there is technically reasoning to suspect a bias based on the Patriots' past crooked behavior and seeming ref assistance.
  7. The non-ejection was absurd. (Removing a starter for a backup could of meant any number of things) The strange number of off-setting penalties were suspicious Patriot gets away with blatantly trying to trip a player but because there wasn't enough of a touch it was deemed fine. The 3rd interception shouldn't of counted Allen was awful most of the game but had he not been injured we may of still won due to his clutch play in crunch time.
  8. No thanks, we'd be the softest group of players in the league then
  9. Barring something last minute I suspect Risto will be a Sabre for the foreseeable future. And seeing as he’s one of the few physical players we have I’d say that’s potentially a good thing if used properly.
  10. I wouldn't trade my 1st at all until we actually make it to the playoffs again. Practically every risk we take immediately explodes in our face so I'd rather not play that game.
  11. I heard the Laine trade rumor from a non-reputable source prior so I'm actually rather torn on this rumor's validity. Regardless I hope its false as I'm very much not fond of Laine and his one dimensional play.
  12. No, that’s a bottom 6 prospect and a latter 1st. Nothing with enough value to make me interested
  13. I like Copp far more than Roslovic seeing as he’s at least more than a run of the mill prospect
  14. Kyle will likely sit two as well. We aren't trading a guy we just signed, or Vesey whom we just traded for. Reinhart wasn't bad after the 1st McCabe and Montour were ok
  15. Risto, who knows Johansson is due to him being a vet
  16. I think Mitts needs to have some time to grow into his slightly larger size. His D awareness is a bit better though
  17. Well, if ROR didn't want to stay here then we were already in trouble.
  18. Nothing says he hasn't tried. The price may just be ridiculous.
  19. Feed cut, then was re-initialized by Sabres with our broadcast. The Krueger video popping up though was very odd lol
  20. Hate the helmet thing, loved to see helmet-less players get a goal occasionally. Not fond of the shoot in with freeze rule either as it will potentially create situations where a team will take a shot from beyond the red line, have one guy race to the net and effectively put the goalie in a catch-22.
  21. Mad someone from Hamburg I’d like to keep the skyway
  22. Eichel was out there maybe a tad too long based on his play in OT but in the end he's still our best overall player at this time.
  23. Yup, sometimes you need a save from your goalie and in this game there's not been many from our two.
  24. I was too young to truly remember the whole event but I remember my teacher rolling a TV into the classroom and later going home very confused about what was going on.
