Reinhart can't play center due to his lack of footspeed but from the wing he creates much like that of a centerman. Give him some speed and competence at center and LW and he can run your 2nd/3rd line. As a winger, Reinhart can do things centers can't usually do such as screening the goalie on a consistent basis.

I honestly can't be mad with the Sabres tonight. They played hard, and took it to the best team in the league. We had a few lucky breaks with posts, their goal was started off a lucky bounce too though, and Hutton played like he had in November. Eichel was dog tired in the OT and I'd assume he expected Sheary to go to the net on that pass in OT. He also should of drawn a call on Killorn the one time seeing as he was being held up like crazy around the net. Dahlin scored Risto played great for the first time in a month and a half. I just wish they'd play this way against all the other teams as they do against the Lightning, Jets, and Leafs.

Nope, had he not touched the puck prior to going in then yes. However he was the last player to make a play with the puck, the only player who touched it prior to going in, and was the player to touch it in the zone. I have seen that ruled as possession in other games. Hell I've seen a defenseman sliding on his back, a puck hitting his skate over his line, called "possession" so possession is very subjective.

We were cheated out of two goals and the team effectively imploded after the PP just couldn't get the puck in after the 2nd disallowed goal. Eichel wasn't offside as based on multiple other similar cases where what he did was perfectly legal. Last year we had another team do that to us, we challenged and lost because they ruled that him punching the puck and then retouching it inside the zone counted as possession. Yet here the same thing happens and it isn't somehow possession. Its asinine to say the least. The other goal was disallowed because the ref blew the play dead thinking Reimer had the puck on the delayed call but in actuality Girgs put the puck in off a rebound. Eichel looking dejected after this game makes sense. He tried to claw them back into the game but was always stifled by some assorted means and has watched the year's playoff chances evaporate.

I have to agree with you there. Tonight showed that when they play strong and get solid goaltending they can swing with the big boys. They now did it for two games in a row, go get a win against the Rangers and play a solid overall 60 minute game again!

Kane, we don't really need the headaches he caused. ROR we could really use from an on-ice angle but I also get the sense we needed to get him out of the locker room due to off ice stuff. Honestly ROR's problem may have been as simple as refusing to accept this was Eichel's team on paper. After all we know for certain ROR was angered by Landeskog getting the C in Colorado and he may have felt the same way about Eichel getting it over him. Once the Blues captain leaves via FA or trade, if it goes to another guy, do we see ROR turn into a depressed lump again?

The last goal isn't on Eichel at all; he was dog tired and had already blocked a shot which seemed to slow him as well. Okposo got picked and then Wheeler found a soft spot after running the Sabres in a circle. I'm angry we couldn't get one point out of their great effort; they truly went to the finish with a Stanley Cup Contender. I disagree in this being anything good. It will kill markets like Buffalo more than any of the larger market teams. The NBA is everything I hate in sports. 1. No defense or actual strategy until the final 3 min when it’s close 2. Super teams and complete refuse teams which horde many good players until they aren’t quite as useful 3. No team loyalty. I’m not saying take a pay cut to stay, Im saying don’t flee at RFA conclusion and screw your fans for your own selfish desires. You will make multi millions regardless. Pay your dues and once your 30 or so, then go championship chasing if you weren’t lucky. 4. Overly political 5. Far to much “me over the team mentality” 6. Personality is too far overboard to the point of dividing fans over their player’s beliefs and Twitter exploits. 7. I’d due Benn for Okposo and SJSs 1st plus maybe a lesser prospect but that’s as far as I’d go Dallas would need to retain some, he’s under contract until he’s 36/37

I’d disagree on Beaulieu’s value being shot. He’s worth a 4th. Toffoli is having a down year. my original offer would be SJSs 1st and Beaulieu for Toffoli and their 4th/3rd based on Beaulieu’s games performance
