  1. That's what I was looking at, Sekera is a competent Dman or a LTIR candidate with fewer years on his contract. Spooner has potential, but is regardless a shorter contract than Okposo I just wish Okposo could take a pay-cut because he seems like a great guy.
  2. I've had a few good discussions with an Edmonton fan Okposo Sobotka (1.5mil retained) 2020 4th for Spooner Sekera
  3. Eichel did well considering he was blanketed most of the game. I'd waive Elie, send Thompson down to get some confidence, and bring up 2 of Smith, Nylander, Olafsson because we are in desperate need for even the threat of a goal from another line.
  4. Merry Christmas guys and girls!
  5. RNH, Garrison, Kassian for Scandella, Sobotka, Guhle, and SJS's 1st Effectively we send them an NHL Dman, a prospect Dman from Alberta, an NHL player/cap dump and a 1st for A 2C, a roster spot dump and a cap dump
  6. Just a few I thought of as well as the few you mentioned with some basic info; I would attempt to unload Sobotka in deals for these guys as well. (CHI) Anisimov 3x4.55mil 7g 10a in 34 games 30 yr old (WPG) Perreault 3x4.125mil 8g 7a in 36 games 30 yr old (STL) Bozak 3x5mil 5g 10a in 34 games 32 yr old (NJD) Johansson 1x4.538mil 6g 9a in 31 games 28 yr old (LAK) Carter 4x5.272mil 6g 9a in 36 games 33 yr old (VAN) Sutter 3x4.375mil 3g 1a in 13 games 29 yr old (OTT) Pageau 2x3.1mil No statistics due to Achilles injury, out until March 26 yr old (OTT) Tierney 2x2.937mil 4g 18a in 37 games 24 yr old (FLA) Bjugstad 3x4.1mil 4g 6a in 27 games 26 yr old
  7. I'll keep the better character player. I'd never want Lucic on my team.
  8. Any interest in Spezza as a stop gap for a year? I doubt he'd cost much and would certainly give us an experienced center akin to Carter just without the awful contract.
  9. I lurk NS ? Just don't commonly post anything pre-game barring something big happening lol
  10. The PP has this awful tendency of doing 50 drop passes ad almost solely relying on Eichel when they aren't producing. Just watch games where they are more successful; Eichel isn't the lone guy bringing the puck over the line through skating or passing. We are in dire need of secondary scoring. Skinner - Eichel - Reinhart ???? - Mitts - ???? ???? - ???? - ???? Girgs - Larsson - Thompson That's what our team was tonight offensively and our PP was atrocious. I'd call up Olafsson and she if he could stimulate the PP with his elite shot.
  11. As cool as that might be, we'd be effectively giving them two AHLers and a near-cap dump for a sought after Middle-6 center and an ok winger. If you were lucky that might get you Nino alone but I can't imagine them trading you both for that.
  12. Around 8mil Eichel can survive without Skinner specifically Skinner requires a high end center to reach his peak performance
  13. So be it, I’m not paying a winger more than 8 for 8 years. That only is asking for it to backfire
  14. Not anymore I've seen his contract and found out a bit more about his time in Columbus to know I want him as far away from our team as possible.
  15. I won’t go above 8.
  16. If its family related I could certainly see that, especially if he is needed back in Sweden. He could void his contract, go overseas and have the Sabres hire him as a part-time scout or something like that. That being said its hard to tell if this was an amicable separation or both sides were merely being as professional as they could.
  17. Would you take Bozak and a 4th for Berglund? the 4th is for this snafu on StL sending us a player who doesn’t want to play
  18. Here's a couple random ideas: Berglund for Anisimov and Scandella + Ellie for Boyle and Lovejoy (Vet help but also evens out our depth on defense a bit and 2 1 year contracts)
  19. Oh its more just a plus than anything specific. I like my depth centers to have as much versatility as possible.
  20. I'd do Artem Anisimov for Berglund straight up He makes about 700k more but is under contract one fewer year. Plus he was Kane and Panarin's center in Chicago a couple years ago so he has experience with skilled players.
  21. 1. The Sabres took their foot off the gas and couldn't get their engine running again. 2. Every bounce possible went Florida's way. The Brouwer goal, the Penalty Shot goal, we'd have chances that the puck would just seemingly skip at the last moment.... We have to play better but it seemed as things piled up the team got rather frustrated by how nothing seemed to work. Florida is a curse for us for no known reason
  22. Marcus Johansson, any interest if we can use Sobotka or Berglund in some way to get him. (Granted Berglund may not be a problem soon anyway)
  23. Yet somehow he was still a -3 with a big influence on at least one of them at minimum
  24. Disappointed with a loss but not really angry. They traded punches with the defending champions the whole game while short a Dman and a half. Hopefully tomorrow we see Dahlin - Bogo Pilut - Risto Hunwick - Scandella Eichel played great and should of drawn a penalty in the OT, they had sticks all over him. Still 2 goals ain't shabby at all! Reinhart, you have to hit that!!!!! Dahlin quietly put up 3 points without any of the Sabres telecast noticing lol
  25. If I had to guess, I'd say Arizona or Dallas would be my likely candidates.
