I'm a sucker for awesome logos and alternate versions of them; this was very well done. My favorite part is the swords from Ghana; you can gather quite a bit of info and interest through merely changing out the swords in the logo whether it be like lightsabers for May 4th or historically significant ones like we see here. In theory a similar idea could be used for other non-traditional markets. For instance, how we created the fictional Japanese Tokyo Katanas

Unsure to be honest but I'm honestly rather curious about that.

Hmm, can one buyout a player mid-season? Deangelo's buyout is only 1/3rd and would be a negligible caphit. I wonder if we could trade them Okposo for him then just either bury or buy him out.

With quite a playoff history; guy really shows up in the playoffs. Bennett, Rittich and Kylington for Montour(1.9mil retention), Thompson and Hutton Pretty much cap neutral, and gives multiple players a chance to get a fresh start.

I just don't understand how no matter what we do as a team we get the same results. Sign stars, draft high, etc etc yet the team never seems to change. They are still a fair-weather team that doesn't play hard every shift and would rather take a nap. We've tried structure based coaches, young inspirational coaches, and now a literal inspirational speaker and no one seems to get these players to play inspired hockey! -

I wish we had Miles Wood, I just wish we had a bit more passion. -
I have no clue what Mitts or Tage's value is anymore. Same goes with Montour.
-
It's just a roster spot, is there another cheap dman Calgary has you'd want?
-
It's more or less a F & a D for a F & a D and the money would be roughly even.
-
Trade Montour and either Mitts or Tage for Bennett and Kylington Bennett works hard, plays hard, and that is something we sorely lack. (Plus if we ever make the damn playoffs again; he's a great playoff player.)

Horrid game minus Ullmark. Got a point thanks to him. The puck seemed to be like a freaking bouncy ball throughout the game however. -
My guess would be it would be akin to Miller + our 2nd and maybe a 3rd or 4th in 2022.

You can't really blame Dahlin on either GA; the first was a broken play where he was in a no win situation. (Pursue and hope your partner gets the trailer or stand in front of the net and allow the guy to either do a wrap around or pick a good pass) The 2nd was a long point shot Montour, what happened to him? -
I'm curious as to what your ideal would be? I can certainly understand banning racial slurs and not disobeying employment laws in the US/Canada but what exactly is the target or idea we are going after? Are we looking for a general population alignment? In that case mathematically the league is pretty close based on the numbers supplied by Taro. Are we looking for "affirmative action" style quotas? Because that would be insanely stupid given the limited pool of candidates. If you are looking for a person to fill a position; you should be looking for the best candidate in general not the best in a given fraction of the population. For example if, let's just imagine, people of Indian decent are rarely hockey fans but teams are told to hire at least one person from that pool; how would that workout? Much of hockey's problem stems from the affordability of playing the sport. The innate racism in hockey is likely to have more to do with historical hurdles to get into hockey perpetuating a common racial profile based on those who can afford the sport in addition to actually wanting to get involved; versus that of all hockey people being racist bigots. They do exist, mind you, but I would take a guess you also have a number of hockey-specific racial biases due to the lack of minority players in hockey in general. The NHL can only go so far with directly mentioned inclusion efforts without looking preachy. What we need is a general normalization of minority players over time, not the few we have being plastered on billboards with "INCUSION" being yelled at us from some soap box. In the end people hate, and will actively fight against, anything someone in power attempts to force on those involved; it is much better to help normalize it while not making a huge deal about it. Subtlety is key!

Miller to Vegas for Fleury(2mil retained) Vegas gets their old cap casualty back and a much needed 3rd RD while ridding themselves of a portion of Fleury's contract. Just a more general idea

Very disappointing, what makes it worse is I can't honestly tell if they are bad or just extremely unlucky. They get chances and haven't been outplayed so far this year but never seem able to get over the hill of L -> W -
Not exactly surprising; they'd be looking for a 1to1 swap of young centers and we don't exactly have one close in value. Eichel >> PLD Cozens ? PLD Staal, Sheahan, Girgs, etc < PLD
-
The chart guy, Sean Tierney says Buffalo has been one of the best teams in our division thus far from an analytics PoV despite our record. We are also arguably the most unlucky team beside Chicago.

That was a true joy to watch; I hope they play like this more often! Maybe a punch to the face is what Dahlin needed, certainly worked last year. Patrick Sharp said the Sabres sent a statement to Philly by sending out their 1st PP unit and scoring after that idiotic play with 2min left. I'd agree -
I wonder what happened, whatever it is I hope he and his family are ok.

Eichel looks banged up but at least he looked a bit more like his old self. Only too pass happy
