  1. My plan for 2021-2022 Buyout Eakin Sign Reinhart 5x6.5mil Sign Asplund 2x1.1mil Sign Mitts 3x1.4mil Sign Dahlin either to a 2x4mil bridge or 8x6.5mil Sign Jokiharju 2x2mil Sign Ullmark 3x4.75mil Sign McCabe 1x2.85mil (He may need to based on his injury) Sign Mrazek/Riemer 1x3.5mil Trade FLA's 3rd to get Seattle to take Miller Skinner - Eichel - Reinhart R2 - Cozens - Olofsson Asplund - Mitts - Thompson Bjork - Girgs - Okposo Dahlin - Jokiharju McCabe - Risto Bryson - Borgen Ullmark Mrazek/Reimer That leaves us with $11.3mil in cap space to push guys down the depth chart thus filling the additional 3 roster spots. Any ideas? A few thoughts I have is that this roster is too young and could certainly use Nick Foligno if he's willing to come here. Maybe trade Olofsson and/or Risto to better the overall roster. Essentially Olofsson isn't a true Top 6 forward but the only place to slot him is at 2RW. Okposo should be waived if he's not playing well and just buried in Rochester unless we need him as a pinch call up. (He plays much better once teams begin playing more defensive hockey on route to the playoffs) If he still isn't effective then buy him out at year's end as the cap hits aren't terrible at 3.3mil and 1.3mil where as buying him out this year carries a cap hit actually higher than a buried Okposo would.
  2. He wasn't meaning it in the sense he was angry at Buffalo. He was effectively saying what almost every player says after being traded in that he wants to make us "pay" for trading him. But he doesn't have some over-arcing agenda against Buffalo.
  3. Doesn't make me any happier; makes me want to throttle the ******* Why do players only ever seem to do this to us? Unless its an expansion draft related waiving.
  4. I guess we did better than the Flyers did with Gustafsson at least. His value went from a conditional 3rd to a year later 7th.
  5. It may have been in good faith originally but it seems odd that Hall refused to go to anywhere except one team unless this was his backup plan from the start.
  6. I may be just trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but my guess is that there was a different trade Adams desired to pull off; likely involving Hall, that effectively was crushed by Hall's NMC. It would give credence to why they didn't retain on Montour as they have thought they were going to need it for a separate deal.
  7. He very well may of, the thing was how can you strong arm a guy who may have wanted Boston from the start. The only real threat Adams had was telling him he'd keep him in Buffalo for the remainder of the season but that would of been painfully awkward for everyone involved and potentially cancerous to the locker room with a discontent player angry over not being traded.
  8. Pretty much, I'm guessing Adams deemed a grumpy Hall stuck with the Sabres to end out the season was worse than trading him for a pittance.
  9. My guess is Hall probably wanted to go to Boston from the start and as soon as Krueger was fired desired to be sent there. Whether or not Adams tried to get Hall to go elsewhere is unclear but I would guess he likely did and Hall just shot down every offer. This would of left Adams in a position of either trying to force Hall to waive his NMC for another team through threats or merely doing what he could given the circumstances.
  10. and with the latter fired suddenly he was no longer above criticism or being forced the puck due to his adherence to Krueger's doctrine. He chose to just screw us as hard as he could on the way out
  11. I'm really fearing the Sabres will trade Eichel this offseason to avoid him playing the same NMC bs that Hall just did. Honestly I'd love Adams to just throw Hall under the bus for his lax play and falsely claiming that he wanted to be a Sabre.
  12. Well it's us by extension. I really don't know if I should be angry or just feel bad for Adams being played
  13. So he effectively pulled a Babcock. I hope the Sabres look into investigating this for tampering
  14. Strangely enough I would of been able to tolerate this better at 2:50 PM tomorrow if Lazar hadn't been included.
  15. I just don't understand why we'd trade Lazar too? In the end I guess we just can't have nice things, no matter what we do its sad or embarrassing. The owner might be playing tight walleted. The GM might have little to no idea what he's trying to do. The coach is a cheap interim guy they seem to buying players for disturbingly enough. Can we please stop being a freaking poverty franchise and start showing the fans a team that matters and is competent!
  16. Well the Pens have no 1st this year so it would have to be a 2022 1st but I would fear we’d take Pettersson or some mediocre overpaid guy too.
  17. Problem being we have zero capable players to replace him with and I refuse to send him to Toronto. I'd rather just keep him until he walks.
  18. That was a joy to see, just loved watching them comeback twice and the youngsters leading the way. Even Okposo has looked better since Granato took over.
  19. 3 or 4 years 4.6 mil is going to be my guess. A healthy raise while not being backbreaking .
  20. I's want more than just Fluery though to be honest. Partially due to the expansion draft problem still existing in that trade.
  21. I see this as an ok trade, nothing to yell about in either the good or the bad. In the end Botts screwed up another deal and left Adams to effectively scrounge to get some type of return.
  22. Savard may end up with TBL with CBJ garnering at least a 1st
  23. Hall and Staal are both retention takers so not using it on Montour May mean Adams intends to use it on someone else.
  24. I was just about to say, as long as we didn’t retain then a 3rd was fair.
