How exactly does one do that? It doesn't matter who we bring in from coach to players they always divebomb at a moments notice -

Why can't we have nice things; we draft and the players just seem to die once they arrive in the NHL -
Go Suzuki or bust CBJ!

I wouldn't do that by any stretch. I could certainly see something around Reinhart for PLD however. They have put up similar numbers and Reinhart is only slightly older. Barkov, on the other hand, I am sure they would want Cozens primarily with multiple other pieces involved. Columbus is being pressured by the player, while Florida is more likely pressured from salary. That being said, Florida is trying to dump Yandle as well so who knows.

Then I guess he plays here because I can't see any advantage in him playing 24 games in the WHL

I wonder if you can use a loophole with a pick transferring only if a player plays a certain number of games on your team.

Donald J Trump, your thoughts on his Presidency
thewookie1 replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Oval Office (Politics)'s Topics
As a conservative but, more importantly, an American I am disgusted by what happened yesterday at the Capitol Building. I'm more than disappointed in Trump's response as well..... I really don't know what to say at this point; I disagree fervently with most Democrat stances and feel as if the Republican Party has been co-opted by a wannabe fascist who even upon losing the election refuses to concede. 🤢 -
05-06's goal horn plus the basic Woohoo song. I don't need anything huge just the awesome literal goal horn with all the bells and whistles

RIP John Muckler

I disagree partially, the pass Albert sent him on that powerplay was what caused the penalty. It was a terrible pass well up the boards from him thus putting him in a unwinnable situation. It wasn't a lazy play but rather one of desperation. As for his floating, I noticed a bit of that as well but I am unsure if that is due to effort or exhaustion. He was one of the top ice time loggers for all players this year and his floating seemed to become more noticeable after the first three games. I would also add he does have some good defensive abilities which is certainly a positive for a young player. I think he's an AHLer next season, and a call up by late 2021-22 and either Bot 6 or the top call up 2022-23

I wonder if they could run their own practices with a non-team coach?

Can the Sabres make the Playoffs In this new division?
thewookie1 replied to GASabresIUFAN's topic in The Aud Club
A straight up .500 record gives us a good opportunity to make it. With everything being in-division, if we split with everyone the worst we can do is 5th. -
Who exactly is Gillies; I can't find him on any Flames' roster? My trade from a while back was To BUF Hanifin, Noah Rittich, David ($1,375,000 retained) Ryan, Derek ($1,300,000 retained) To CGY Ristolainen, Rasmus Hutton, Carter Mittelstadt, Casey 2021 2nd round pick (BUF) With Montour vs Risto it would be To BUF Hanifin, Noah Rittich, David To CGY Hutton, Carter Mittelstadt, Casey Montour, Brandon In the latter case we take on 150k cap and lose maneuverability as we would then have Hanifin and Risto's contracts.

NHL Investigating placing ads on players helmets

I just pray it doesn't turn into a bloody Nascar uniform in 10 years. -
The thing is if they cancel they will effectively lose their status as a Major Sport; they can't afford to do that.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone

So Buffalo won’t be getting fans regardless between COVID and Cuomo’s hatred of WNY

Yellow is a rather multifaceted word as well. Yellow was used as an old school insult for both those from East Asia as well as those who may be cowardly. Yellow also gives the mind the thought of something being hazardous or the need to stay safe/yield. Yellow, like green, can both be seen as life (the sun/sunlight) or when made darker can give a feeling of filth (urine, Sulphur) Yellow is a rather handy color and IS a primary color thus giving Yellow the proud parentage of Orange and Green.

Green is a rather multifaceted word as well. Being green can both mean illness and inexperienced. Green also signifies go or start in many situations as well. Green is also strange color in how it can be seen as symbolic for both life or death depending on its tint. Green is a rather handy color, although not a primary color.

My guess, based on how they kept out any early pick reactions, is that one of the guys picked prior to Quinn was our #1 choice and Quinn was #2. From there Adams tried to pry #42 from Nashville probably for something akin to #8 for #11 and #42. That tier drop off of 11 makes a lot of sense then as he likely had more offers but they would of taken us out of Tier A. (Based on that sheet next to the Sabres Creed Paper) Thus with Rossi, Lundell and Perfetti still around he couldn't strong arm one of them to jump up to grab their guy. Had perhaps Rossi been taken by NJ, there's a chance either WPG or FLA would of tried to hop the Wild to prevent losing out on the other.

That would be a gut punch for us. That really doesn't help us at all as we lose our 1st and Sam Reinhart to get 2 years of a smaller speedy winger which we already have a plethora of, and Hanifin while still holding onto Risto and Montour.
-
I'd do it with Risto in a heartbeat. He's inconsistent defensively but that's still better than Risto
-
I've said Hanifin & Rittich(1.1 mil) for Montour, Mitts, and Hutton for awhile now. Flames fans say no all the time but it does make logical sense. Rittich's retention is to offset the cap hit of Hanifin vs Montour for this year. Ideally we would find a way to make it Risto for Hanifin but who knows if Calgary has changed its mind on him. Colin Miller instead of Montour just requires adjustment on Rittich's retention for this year to offset the contracts as much as possible. My Risto trade is slightly bulkier Hanifin, Rittich (1.375 retained), and Ryan (1.3 retained) for Ristolainen, Hutton, Mitts and a 2nd round pick. It would be effectively cap neutral besides whatever Mitts' deal is and we swap handiness on D.

2020 United States Presidential Election

To be honest I honestly didn't expect them to cram Barrett in there. Technically they had control of the senate both times but I do understand the sentiment. I'm not a fan of shifty political posturing domestically. I'm not saying the Democratic party stands for communism or socialism but there seems to be quite the ambivalence amongst the younger generation based on Sanders' success with his Democratic Socialism and the fact plenty of the younger generation felt he wasn't going far enough. All this "Eat the Rich" BS and the like. When people are claiming governments like Venezuela's model is ideal, with the caveat of "we'd do a better job," there is a major disconnect between wishful thinking and reality. I am not trying to say that I want them to abandon their culture; I want them to adopt our cultural influences if they are here. Pride in one's heritage is no problem to me. I have a problem when illegal immigrants put up Mexican flags on USPS offices or proclaim they are retaking over the South Western states. Same goes with completely incompatible cultural differences such as very strict Islamic practitioners that don't believe in women's rights whatsoever. They need to either leave or conform to the law of the land. I will admit however that I am concerned by those who come to American with the intention of fundamentally changing our country. Just look at Europe for examples of how mass immigration from the Middle East has effected European culture. The European armies of old didn't fight back the Turks outside Vienna for them to waltz over the border 600+ years later unopposed. (I know most immigrants are truly good people looking for a fresh start but there are some who look to force us to change to their beliefs; they do exist and need to be accounted for.) At the end of the day if you immigrate to America, you either need to adapt to or tolerate American society; you have no right to come here and then start imposing your ideas on us. -
2020 United States Presidential Election

Never said he shouldn't have. We need to stop the wild pendulum of political leanings. I like my presidents moderate, their job is supposed to be one of compromise and leadership to the entire nation. Also, I do wish Trump would of brought the country together but obviously many left-leaning people weren't going to unless he stepped down from day 1. When you throw temper tantrums in the streets over the other side's president winning ........ That being said I really hope that the conservatives don't start their own civil unrest over losing; can we act like adults and not like Vancouver after Cup losses? They nominated and placed judges within the given judicial numbers. Obama put a couple judges I don't agree with in when he had the opportunity. There's a big difference between filling the court upon opportunity and creating new spots in order to force a certain stance. As I said before; the judicial branch should be more on the conservative side as it is meant to keep the country from merely following every popular idea that strikes a president's fancy. I fear for this country's future; my age group (18-35) seems to have no inkling to how absolutely terrible communism was for those who actually lived through it. They want to globalize our country out of existence in the name of "social justice." I want immigrants to melt into our melting pot; not continue to merely be Mexican or Middle Eastern while located here. I don't want what is happening in Europe to happen here; I don't want American culture to be destroyed by mass immigration overwhelming the melting pot and spilling it over. Is that wrong? I don't want to live in a world where being a white man is somehow deemed oppressive by mere existence and needs to be put in their place. I don't want a world where merely disagreeing with someone makes you racist, sexist or homophobic. When I voted for Trump I had truly hoped he would crush the SJW stuff; instead both sides have merely become whiny children wanting to yell at the clouds.
