Well yes, in general. In most cases I'd say its unconscious on the ref's part and more sinister in Toronto. As for the 3rd period goal, it fell into an odd gray area, in which due to it being an outdoor game, the goalie can easily jettison the net from its moorings. So it ends up becoming a judgement of Mrazek's intent. Because the refs had the call on the ice be a goal; Toronto was left with two options: 1. Disallow the goal based on the net being pushed off the moorings prior to the puck crossing the line 2. Allow the goal on 1 of a few different supporting rules. (Intentional Net Dislodging, The Shot being inbound prior to the net coming off??, Even the general sense that the puck entered the center of the net without the goalie or puck being interfered with) In the end we got lucky because the NHL chose to allow the call on the ice to stand. (Not to mention they likely are more likely to rule in our favor more often after the snafu from the Rangers game.)

Meanwhile Anderson would teach the two kids in Rochester all there is to know about NHL hockey preparation. Meanwhile you acquire/sign a goalie of Varlamov's level to platoon with UPL.

Varlomov has us on his NTC supposedly UPL has done adequate in Buffalo, so I'd certainly give him a shot over Samsonov who has looked noticeably worse on a better team. I'd give Anderson a few choices: 1. Stay here for the rest of the year 2. Get traded somewhere he wants for next year I'd give him an option to work in player development.

I do honestly think Tuch's departure + Stone's IR stint is gravely hurting Vegas. Stone is a better defensive player overall but both play the game similarly and with near reckless abandon and a infectious energy to them. I still remember Stone with Ottawa being like how Tuch is now. You can always figure out the vital pieces to a team's success in their playoff performances. They aren't always a team's top players but they have a tendency to step up when times get tough and almost always produce under the pressure cooker that is playoff hockey. Tuch showed in all 4 years he played with Vegas that in the playoffs he finds a different level. He's shown more of that type of play with Buffalo this year; likely due to the lack of top-tier depth Buffalo has in comparison. In the end I certainly feel as if VGK got the better statistical player; but we got the better team player. And Krebs too 🙂

I loved it, a Sabres win is great. A win against the Leafs is even better. Dahlin doesn't take #### from no one no more. Cozens taking care of Dahlin's issue with Matthews cleanly; loved seeing how he stuck around with the team after being tossed. Was rather hilarious. Krebs shot the puck, guess he figured out that the ice wasn't exactly great for 200 passes. Hinostroza being the JAG+ who could; he's been a pleasant surprise this year. Anderson gave up a bad one to Matthews but robbed him twice. Otherwise very solid and certainly calms the team.

Effectively let’s not force Power to learn from Dahlin who in himself is still learning. I doubt the trade happens before the deadline this year however. I’d guess the off-season would be his intended purpose for this rumor. Let it float around to the other GMs. 1 of the later 1sts and Johnson for likely starters

Actually he's very wrong; Sabres fans sold out the stadium many times during his tenure here. We were raucous in our few nice runs during the starts of a few seasons. His premier scrimmage not only sold out but had thousands watching a livestream. If he wants to have beef with the Front Office, go ahead; but going after the fans is both cowardly and plain idiotic.

Risto is a good dude and a physical player but sadly his experience has yet to change his inability to defend or choose his spots in the slightest. He is pretty much the same player he was 4 or 5 years ago who has an overwhelming urge to abandon his position to hit someone.

I can already hear them praising Eichel..... They'll praise him to a degree that outnumbers all his praise over his entire Sabres career.
