That is now what people/Leafs fans are saying, that Reily may have said a certain word starting with an F, ending with a uck, while others were yelling Rag it......

Is the last one what the Pegulas are going to go with for their 2019-2020 season slogan? The could have it painted at the entry into their Bill's and Sabres offices... ..

How cool would it be if unicorns came flying into the arena being led by Saquatch throwing million dollar bills around to all the fans in the arena one night?

I disliked Murray alot, but this idea that he set the team back so much is false. Who did he give up that currently tearing up the league and would have been so much of an upgrade over what they currently have? Everyone is blaming Murray but then praising Botterill, even after getting almost nothing for Kane and ROR. This team is very similar to the Oilers, both teams have spent years 'rebuilding' and getting picks but cant put anything together to make them better.

I think here's where the problem is, the old school, tough guy, Don Cherry lovers want to see blood for blood, that even clean hits should end with someone in the other team getting hit or in a fight. Not retaliating after a clean hit is not some big team breaking deal. It's the dirty hits that need retaliation, and not just someone a game later trying to get the person to fight them. Players should be jumping in after a dirty hit to defend their teammate, and that's what you dont see much of from the Sabres. They dont have the ability to jump in after a dirty hit and go after anyone.

The news just says that the NHL will be investigating the alleged use of a homophobic slur during the Leafs/Lightning game but wouldnt say who or even what team the player was on that used it. Makes sense that it would be a Leaf and they would be trying to deflect from that.

Niagaras broadcast crew VERY complimentary of UPL who was the visitor. Said he has been one of the best goalies in the OHL this year and called him a franchise guy who could bring cups to Buffalo. Played a solid game in a losing effort where a Buffalo native, Steven Dhillon got a shutout for Niagara

UPL playing tonight a short drive away in St Catharines. Hes currently down 1-0 half way through the 2nd

Skinner might be missed, but would ROR and Kane make up his goals? As for Montour, hes been here for what, 3 games so far? -
I can remember hearing that Metallica and Guns n Roses played there early 90s, but then nothing until a few years ago. Since then, there was U2, I believe The Rolling Stones?, and this summer IIRC was Beyonce and Jay-Z

How bad is Tage? Should he be in Rochester?
apuszczalowski replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
My belief with this is again 'Has any player been ruined by spending too much time in the minors?'. I believe that the Redwings system has always been that they keep guys down and dont try to rush them up before they are ready. It's better that they stay down too long then be brought up too early. Would it really have hurt Tage or Casey to play in Rochester this year? Would it not have been better to next year maybe still bring up 4, but leave the bottom 2 of their top 6 down a little longer? Or force the players to earn their time in the NHL by having to beat out guys on the NHL roster first, rather then giving them spots based off of their background and draft positions? -

Definitely should be in Rochester, same with Middlestadt. Has any player ever been 'damaged' by spending too much time in the minors? Compared to how many may be damaged by being rushed into a situation they arent ready for? -
His interview wasn't horrible, it was truthful and showed the truth behind 'tanking' The fans all got their panties in a bunch cause they expected everyone on the roster was going to be perfectly happy wasting their years playing for a team with no intention of winning and whos goal of existing was to collect #1 overall picks and not winning a cup. He is playing much better now in St Louis and would probably have good things to say about being on a franchise who is looking towards the playoffs now and not the draft......

I don't think he has a problem re-signing here, but he isn't going to do it for cheap. Because he was allowed to continue playing out the season and had the year he did, and the Sabres having issues scoring, he now has them over a barrel. His agent knows Botterill has no choice but to pay up for his client, or go overpay in the FA market for someone to replace him. Skinner will have plenty of places that will pay him plenty if he tests the market and can make up that extra year the Sabres can give him in other ways. Botterill wanted to be 'Methodically & careful' to not negotiate an extension earlier, and this is what can happen when you do.......

It might be a revolving door, but lets not pretend that its why they are bad. The problem isn't making the coaching change, its hiring the wrong guy in the first place. If its the wrong hire, it won't matter if they give him 5 months or 5 years......

Thats because they were excited to hear 'Hall & Oates"!

So I guess if they could dump Eichel. Its all good cause they came in last with Eichel too.............

Read the press release by the Sens after firing Boucher, it lists what they are searching for in their new coach, comes off like a job ad in the paper. Lol Their GM, the guy who should have been canned, said he made the decision last night but wanted to sleep on it. Said he called Melnyk this morning and then told Boucher when he got to the rink he was done, then he talked to the team and told them their play recently wasnt acceptable. He said Crawford will coach them til the end of the year, then they will do an extensive search for someone who can teach the young players, listen to them and develop them. The guy on sportsnet was almost laughing over it saying that theres not really anyone out there who would meet their requirements.also said their play the entire season was unacceptable..... They also believe they made this move hoping the move will help them move up a few spots and not finish 31st

Just wondering, is part of Housleys system to leave one of the greatest players in the game wide open by himself on one side of the ice?
