Heard the same about him too. Used to work with a guy who lived next to John's parents. Never heard anything bad about him, seems to have a good sense of humor about himself and knew he serves a dying role in the NHL.

But that would hurt the Amerks chances at winning so they cant bring them up.

Hes only been gone a couple games, the problems were the same with him here and with him away. His return isnt going to change much. They have one good line and that's it, they need to start bolstering the rest of the team...

You cant compare it to the Bill's, right or wrong, they decided to continue dismantling the team this offseason instead of building off of what they accomplished last year. We will see if it works out in their favour or if it would have been smarter to build with what they had. But for so long in Buffalo it's been all about getting the best picks cause finishing in the middle, or just making the playoffs doesnt do anything good and keeps the team from getting better cause they dont get a high pick....

But isnt that what we are all supposed to cheer for? If tour not a cup favorite your supposed to tank for a better pick, it's the only way to make a championship team!

The problem was that they weren't really jokes (about the kids from Parkland), it was more him just going off and complaining about them not having a right to want change or be able to protest against things because they are kids. It came across more at lashing out at them because of they are supported by 'Liberals' and 'Liberals' support the "Me-Too" movement that took him down.

Yeah, some of that went over the line of comedy and he just seems to have lost it. I think what is scary is reading comments after one of the articles I read about it and how many people defended it as 'who cares if its offensive or tasteless, that's what comedians are supposed to be and do and that they should be able to say and do whatever because they are comedians'. His comments about the school shooting kids is cringe worthy considering I dont think he has ever had to go through anything like that in his life. I think anyone at that school went through much worse then he did this year. I would like to hear how his friend Sarah Silverman will step to his defence on these comments......

I loved his show and standup, pissed that it's almost impossible to find the DVDs of the show without spending hundreds for them. Stacey keach was hilarious as his father.

Didnt realise that former Sabre Vaclav Varada is the coach of the Czech team. Just make sure it's your own that your keeping an eye on and not someone elses.....

Not an excuse, but poor work by the NHL schedulers to have teams play today that have a bit of a distance to travel. Either change the 'travel ban' to the day before they play or schedule only close teams to play today, most teams have other teams close enough that they dont have to travel far to play.....

It's tough for these kids to win it every year with the pressure Canadians put on them, much easier for the US kids who outside of Buffalo and a couple other hockey border cities care about or even know the tournament is going on.......

Lol, that's cute, you guys produced 4 players. No one in Canada, or outside Buffalo is shaking over Eichel, and Matthew's plays for a Canadian team so he is loved for that.

I would have skated through the goalie or dropped an elbow on him for coming out that far from his crease..........

I've heard the arena does it I have bought lettering and numbers before to put on a blank Jersey, it's how I did my Hasek Czezh Jersey. I took a football Jersey into the place I usually used to have a name and number changed but he found the number was glued on and said to remove it wound be very difficult to do without potentially damaging the Jersey under it, or the coloring beneath to be less faded. Said changing just the name and leaving the number would be easy because the name is always put on the plate and the plate just sewn on.

Because the season ticket holders want to make their money back so they sell their seats for more then face value and sit at home and complain that the atmosphere is like a Leafs home game

I dont like the 3 on 3 OT, it's basically one side skating around looking to shoot while the other team bunches up in front of the net looking to block the shot until a puck gets loose and they can get it. It's like if you dont have the puck, your trying to kill a non existent penalty...

Doubtful, give them a couple years and they are screwed cause once Matthew's and Marners contracts are up, their team will be Matthew's,Marner, Traitor, and Nylander followed by a bunch of fourth liners cause they wont have the money to spend. Look at Pittsburgh now.....

Probably not With the Leafs being good, Sabres fans will keep selling their seasons to Leafs fans who will be back to paying over list price and actually wanting to go see them play.

Would have been good to know that this game was on Sportsnet here in Ontario, every other time its listed as being on its blacked out. Just caught the game at the start of OT

The only thing I hate about him is that he is making it more and more expensive to re sign him! They need to ditch the goal horn when he scores and replace it with Super Inendent Chalmers from the Simpsons yelling "Skinner!"
