I read this somewhere and it struck me as cool useless information so here goes. Back in the day if a cowhand was short cash he could go into a saloon and trade one bullet for a 'shot' of whiskey. McDavids first shootout attempt was totally underwhelming. Normally he is coming in with so much speed when he carries the puck and that is one of his many strengths so on his first shootout attempt he slows it down to a crawl and ...it was just bad. Jitters ? Also why is it his first attempt ? Odd coaching decision to not use him in that situation before imo.

Always liked Big John and was sad to see him leave the Sabres even though like many said his spot would better be served to someone that could really play the game. Now I'm hearing former team mates both Sabres and otherwise saying how great a team mate he was. Virtually anyone thats played with this guy has nothing bad to say about his character. Just a decent human being. Its been nice seeing guys like Milbury and Roenick eat crow the last few days. Loudmouths.

That was good . Thanks. Update. Mine took 5 days to come through to my bladder and from there it was clear sailing. Turns out it was app. 3.5 mm and looks pretty much like a peppercorn. Little bastard. My buddies at work figure I should wear it in a vial around my neck like an amulet. I won't go that far.lol I hope to never have to go through that again but if I do I'll at least understand whats happening and get some good pain medication pronto. I think i'll go have another glass of water. :P

I just spent the last 5 days trying to pass a kidney stone. Oh my frikken gawd are you kidding me. The pain was so intense and all encompassing it literally consumed me. On the 4th day they finally gave me the scan and as it turns out I only had one which was in the 3.5 mm range but I pissed enough jagged evil little sand grain looking things through the strainer to realize that little pea wasn't the only discomforting thing coming out of my kidney. So after the docs analyzed the scan and realized at that point it was almost ready to push through into my bladder they just gave me more hydromorphone and sent me home to pass it on my own which has been just swell. Anyone cursed enough to have gone through this little gem of a medical malady ?

O.K. I watched episodes 4 through 8 last night. I know , get a life right ? I'll watch the rest tonight but it'll be tough when its obvious what the outcome is already. This whole trial stinks to high heaven as does the criminal justice system. So many questions. The one thing the success of this documentary has done is brought an avalanche of attention to this situation which I think is very bad indeed for this town and its law enforcement. Dan Auerback of the Black Keys and the Arcs watched it, had two sleepless nights then wrote and recorded a new song about this case. These cops wanted Steve Avery to just disappear but now he's in their face along with a large portion of the North American viewing audience. Apparently the group Anonymous has posted some demands about the series and the plight of Steve Avery. And its getting bigger. Props to the filmmakers.
